Did you have a bike when you were a child?
注意使用过去时,例如“couldn’t afford”,并用“afford to buy a bike”表达“买得起自行车”。
No, I didn’t have a bike when I was a child because my family couldn’t afford to buy one. I really wanted one, though, and I used to feel a little disappointed when I saw other children riding theirs. I’m thinking about buying one for myself now.
Do you think bikes are popular in your country?
注意语法:用“when I was a child”“people could afford”和“cars are more popular”,并用“However”或“whereas”连接对比。
Bikes used to be very popular in my country because they were an affordable way to get around. These days, more people own cars, especially in larger cities, so cars are probably more popular. However, bikes are still commonly used for short trips and exercise.
