Do you like reading?
考生
To be honest, reading isn't my cup of tea, especially when I have access to my phone nowadays. I found it is more difficult to immerse myself in reading long sentences and complex words, which makes me easy to understand and figure out the meaning behind the word.

Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
考生
Up to I definitely lean towards reading on paper. For me, reading itself is kind of distracting and boring things. If I have to read on the screen, I will be attracted by my any other more attractive items on the screen instead of focusing on the book.

In most occasions I'm fond of scanning because I just want to know the story of the whole book instead of how the writer make the sentence wonderful and what's the logic behind the story.
Do you like reading?
To be honest, I don't read much these days because I usually use my phone for entertainment. For example, when I try to read a long article, I get distracted by notifications and find it hard to focus on complex sentences.
Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
I prefer reading on paper because it helps me concentrate better. For instance, when I read on a screen I often click on apps or watch videos, so I can't focus on the text.
When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
分数: 55.0建议: 回答逻辑明确但语法与表达混乱(如时态混用、重复短语“do not to spend do not to be so focused”)。
I read very carefully when I'm studying for exams because I need to understand every detail to get good grades. But when I'm reading novels or funny stories, I relax and only skim the text for enjoyment.
Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
分数: 60.0建议: 观点明确但语法错误(如“how the writer make”应为 'how the writer makes'),句子过长且表达可更简洁。
I usually prefer scanning because I mainly want to follow the plot rather than analyze the author's style. For example, when I read a novel I quickly read chapter summaries to understand the main events.
× To be honest, reading isn't my cup of tea, especially when I have access to my phone nowadays.
✓ To be honest, reading isn't my cup of tea, especially now that I have access to my phone.
句中“especially when I have access to my phone nowadays”语义可理解,但 wording 不自然。 改为“especially now that I have access to my phone”更符合英语习惯。
× I found it is more difficult to immerse myself in reading long sentences and complex words, which makes me easy to understand and figure out the meaning behind the word.
✓ I find it more difficult to immerse myself in reading long sentences and complex words, which makes it hard for me to understand and figure out the meaning of the words.
原句使用“I found it is”时态混乱。 另外“which makes me easy to understand”结构错误,应改为“which makes it hard for me to understand”并将“word”改为复数“words”。解释:现在时表示持续的状态;并且英语习惯用“hard for someone to do”。
× Up to I definitely lean towards reading on paper.
✓ To be honest, I definitely lean towards reading on paper.
“Up to I”是不正确的短语,可能意图为“To be honest”或“As for me”。 建议用“To be honest”或“Personally”开头。
× For me, reading itself is kind of distracting and boring things.
✓ For me, reading itself is kind of a distracting and boring activity.
“distracting and boring things”搭配不当,应使用可数名词或不可数名词如“activity”或“experience”,并加冠词“a distracting and boring activity”。
× If I have to read on the screen, I will be attracted by my any other more attractive items on the screen instead of focusing on the book.
✓ If I have to read on a screen, I'll be distracted by other, more attractive items on it instead of focusing on the book.
原句中“attracted by my any other more attractive items”词序和介词使用错误。用“distracted by other, more attractive items on it”更自然。将“on the screen”改为“on a screen”或“on it”。
× The time when I needed to read carefully is when I'm preparing for my final exams.
✓ The times when I need to read carefully are when I'm preparing for my final exams.
原句时态不一致:“needed”是过去式,但句意指一般情况应为现在时“need”,且“the time”与后文“when I'm preparing”不一致,改为复数“times”或用单数搭配一致。
× I need to make sure every word I read is clear and can figure out the meaning behind it to get a higher mark in my exam.
✓ I need to make sure every word I read is clear and that I can figure out its meaning to get a higher mark on my exam.
缺少连词“that”引导宾语从句;“figure out the meaning behind it”中代词指代不明,改为“figure out its meaning”;“in my exam”习惯用法为“on my exam”。
× However, when I was when I'm reading some comedies or leisure books, I do not to spend do not to be so focused.
✓ However, when I'm reading comedies or leisure books, I do not need to be so focused.
原句有时态混杂“was when I'm”,重复和多余助动词“do not to spend do not to be”。应统一为现在进行时“When I'm reading”并用“do not need to be so focused”。
× In most occasions I'm fond of scanning because I just want to know the story of the whole book instead of how the writer make the sentence wonderful and what's the logic behind the story.
✓ On most occasions I'm fond of scanning because I just want to know the story of the whole book instead of how the writer makes the sentences wonderful and what the logic behind the story is.
表达“in most occasions”应为“on most occasions”。动词“make”需加第三人称单数形式“makes”,名词“sentence”应为复数“sentences”,并调整“what's the logic behind the story”更自然为“what the logic behind the story is”。
