Do you think bikes are popular in your country?

Thí sinh

Umm yes, bikes are very common here where I live, but I'd say mostly for children and teens that like to ride the bike in the park or go for a ride 'cause that's a way of transport for like adults. It really isn't really used that much.

Did you have a bike when you were a child?

Điểm: 72.0

Gợi ý: Melhore a clareza e a concisão. Comece com uma frase direta que responda à pergunta, depois adicione um ou dois detalhes específicos e use palavras de ligação para maior fluidez. Evite repetições (“near a near our our”) e muletas como “kinda” e “like”. Corrija erros de pronome e tempo verbal e mantenha até 5 frases no total.

Ví dụ: Yes, I had a bike when I was a child. My whole family owned bikes, so we often went on short rides together near our house. I enjoyed those outings, although I fell off several times and became a bit frightened, so I eventually stopped riding for a while.

Do you think bikes are popular in your country?

Điểm: 68.0

Gợi ý: Responda diretamente e dê exemplos específicos; use conectores para organizar a ideia. Evite hesitações (“Umm”) e duplicações (“really isn't really”). Corrija a generalização confusa sobre adultos e transporte: diga claramente se são usadas para lazer ou transporte, e inclua uma razão ou comparação curta.

Ví dụ: Yes, bicycles are quite common in my area, but mainly among children and teenagers who use them for leisure. Adults tend to prefer motorbikes or cars for daily travel because public transport and long distances make cycling less practical.

Ngữ pháp

Past tense issue

× Yes I did have a bike when I was a child almost everyone in my family had one so we used to go on rides together near a near our our house and it was very fun.

Yes, I did have a bike when I was a child. Almost everyone in my family had one, so we used to go on rides together near our house, and it was a lot of fun.

Comma splices and run-on sentences: separate independent clauses into sentences or use appropriate punctuation. Redundant words 'a near a near our our' should be cleaned to 'near our house'. 'Very fun' is colloquial; use 'a lot of fun' for natural phrasing. Also add commas after introductory elements and between clauses to improve readability. Steps to improve: 1) Break long run-on sentences into shorter sentences. 2) Remove repeated words. 3) Use natural collocations ('a lot of fun'). 4) Add commas after introductory words like 'Yes'. (Portuguese: Corrija frases longas e remova repetições; use pontuação adequada.)

Past tense issue

× But I used to fall down a lot on the bike so I got kinda scared and like I just stopped riding.

But I used to fall off the bike a lot, so I got kind of scared and I just stopped riding.

Preposition choice and informal language: use 'fall off the bike' instead of 'fall down on the bike'. Replace informal 'kinda' and filler 'like' with 'kind of' or omit. Add a comma before coordinating conjunction joining clauses. To improve: 1) Use correct prepositions ('fall off'). 2) Avoid fillers ('like', 'kinda'). 3) Use commas to separate clauses. (Portuguese: Use 'fall off' em vez de 'fall down on'; evite gírias e inclua vírgulas apropriadas.)

Present tense issue

× Umm yes, bikes are very common here where I live, but I'd say mostly for children and teens that like to ride the bike in the park or go for a ride 'cause that's a way of transport for like adults.

Yes, bikes are very common where I live, but I'd say they are mostly for children and teenagers who like to ride bikes in the park or go for a ride, because they are a means of transport for adults.

Pronoun reference and article use: replace vague 'that' with 'who' for people, use plural 'bikes' consistent with 'children and teenagers'. Avoid filler 'like' and colloquial ''cause'. Use 'means of transport' or 'a form of transport' for clarity. Improve by: 1) Matching number between subject and verb/objects. 2) Using 'who' for people. 3) Avoiding fillers and contractions in formal speech. (Portuguese: Use 'who' para pessoas, mantenha consistência no plural e evite gírias como ''cause' e 'like'.)

Present tense issue

× It really isn't really used that much.

It really isn't used that much.

Redundancy: the sentence contains duplicated adverb 'really'. Remove the extra 'really'. To improve: 1) Eliminate repeated words that add no meaning. 2) Keep concise adverb placement before the main verb. (Portuguese: Remova repetições; 'really' não deve aparecer duas vezes.)
