Do you work or are you a student?
Thí sinh
I am currently a student and I will be giving my A levels next year. I am studying chemistry, biology, math, and physics. Additionally, I am studying these science subjects to be a biomedical engineer in the future to help the other people. So that's why I chose the science stream.

Is it a good place to study?
Thí sinh
Yes, I think it's an excellent place to study because the campus is well equipped with modern facilities such as computer labs and a large library. Additionally, the principle is very professional and the teachers are highly qualified. Many have been teaching for many years and use effective methods to help students learn more.

Would you like the place where you study to make any changes?
Thí sinh
I would want the biology lab to be a bit wider and bigger as it is currently not that huge, so all these students cannot fit inside the room. That's why I think a large room is needed to be made so that all the students can fit in and be comfortable learning.

Do you work or are you a student?
Điểm: 78.0Gợi ý: Be more concise and correct small grammar errors. Start with a clear topic sentence, then give one or two specific supporting details. Avoid repetition (e.g., "in the future" used twice) and correct collocations such as "help other people" → "help people". Use linking words for coherence.
Ví dụ: I’m a student preparing for my A-levels next year. I study chemistry, biology, maths and physics because I want to become a biomedical engineer and use my skills to help people’s health in the future.
Where do you study?
Điểm: 85.0Gợi ý: Make the answer more natural by using a clear topic sentence and smoother phrasing. Remove filler words like "like" and avoid redundancy ("so does not take long to go from my home"). Add a linking phrase if you expand with a detail (e.g., travel time).
Ví dụ: I study at Scholastica Uttara, which is in Sector One, Uttara, Bangladesh. It’s only about a five-minute walk from my house, so my commute is very short.
Is it a good place to study?
Điểm: 88.0Gợi ý: Good content and structure. Improve precision and correct word choice (use 'principal' not 'principle'). Combine sentences to avoid repetition and keep within five sentences. Provide one concrete example of a teaching method to strengthen specificity.
Ví dụ: Yes, it’s an excellent place to study because the campus has modern facilities like well-equipped computer labs and a large library. Moreover, the principal and experienced teachers use interactive lessons and regular practical sessions, which help students understand difficult concepts better.
Would you like the place where you study to make any changes?
Điểm: 80.0Gợi ý: Be more concise and avoid redundancy ("wider and bigger" / "large room is needed to be made"). Start with a clear topic sentence stating the change, give a specific reason and, if possible, suggest a practical solution. Use linking words to connect ideas.
Ví dụ: Yes. I would like the biology lab to be larger because the current room is cramped and cannot accommodate all students for practical classes. Expanding the lab or adding a second lab would make practical lessons safer and more effective.
What are your future study plans?
Điểm: 72.0Gợi ý: Clarify and correct contradictions: earlier you said biomedical engineering; here you say biology and doctor. Choose one clear goal. Avoid repeating phrases like "would like" and "in the future." Provide a brief reason and a linking word to explain your choice.
Ví dụ: I plan to study for my undergraduate degree in the United States, ideally at a top university, because I want access to excellent research facilities. I’m aiming to study biomedical engineering so I can work on medical technologies that improve patient care.
× I am currently a student and I will be giving my A levels next year.
✓ I am currently a student and I will be taking my A levels next year.
The verb phrase 'give an exam' is nonstandard in this context; native English speakers usually say 'take an exam' or 'sit A levels'. Use 'taking' to match future plan; 'will be taking' is correct future continuous for planned action.
× I am studying chemistry, biology, math, and physics.
✓ I am studying chemistry, biology, mathematics, and physics.
'Math' is informal; in formal speech or writing use 'mathematics'. This is not strictly grammatical but improves register and fits academic context.
× Additionally, I am studying these science subjects to be a biomedical engineer in the future to help the other people.
✓ Additionally, I am studying these science subjects to become a biomedical engineer in the future to help other people.
Use 'become' rather than 'be' for professions. 'The other people' is incorrect; use 'other people' (no article). Also 'to become' is the correct verb pattern after 'studying ... to'.
× I study in Scholastica Uttara school which is located in Uttara sector one in Bangladesh.
✓ I study at Scholastica Uttara School, which is located in Uttara Sector One in Bangladesh.
Use 'study at' with institutions, not 'study in'. Capitalize proper nouns and add comma before relative clause. Also 'School' and 'Sector One' are proper names.
× It's like 5 minutes away from my house so does not take long to go from my home.
✓ It's about five minutes away from my house, so it does not take long to get there from my home.
Missing subject 'it' in second clause; use 'it does not take long'. Use 'about' and spell out numbers below ten in formal writing. Use 'get there' rather than 'go from my home' for natural phrasing.
× Yes, I think it's an excellent place to study because the campus is well equipped with modern facilities such as computer labs and a large library.
✓ Yes, I think it's an excellent place to study because the campus is well-equipped with modern facilities such as computer labs and a large library.
Hyphenate 'well-equipped' when used as a compound modifier before a noun. This is a punctuation/word-formation issue that affects correctness.
× Additionally, the principle is very professional and the teachers are highly qualified.
✓ Additionally, the principal is very professional and the teachers are highly qualified.
Wrong word 'principle' (meaning rule) should be 'principal' (head of a school). This is a word choice error rather than grammar, but it's essential for correctness.
× Many have been teaching for many years and use effective methods to help students learn more.
✓ Many have been teaching for years and use effective methods to help students learn more.
Avoid repetitive 'many have been teaching for many years'; remove redundant 'many'. The present perfect continuous 'have been teaching' is acceptable; simplification improves clarity.
× I would want the biology lab to be a bit wider and bigger as it is currently not that huge, so all these students cannot fit inside the room.
✓ I would like the biology lab to be a bit larger and wider, as it is currently not very big, so not all students can fit inside the room.
'Would want' is less natural than 'would like' for polite requests. 'Bigger and wider' is redundant; 'larger' or 'wider' suffice. 'These students' is odd; use 'not all students'. Use 'very' instead of 'that' for degree modifier.
× That's why I think a large room is needed to be made so that all the students can fit in and be comfortable learning.
✓ That's why I think a larger lab should be made so that all the students can fit in and be comfortable while learning.
'Needed to be made' is awkward; use 'should be made' or 'is needed' plus noun. 'Larger lab' is clearer. Add 'while' before 'learning' for natural adverbial phrase.
× In the future, I would like to move to the US to get my undergraduate degree.
✓ In the future, I would like to move to the US to get my undergraduate degree.
Sentence is grammatically correct; no change needed. Included here to indicate no error from list.
× I would like to study at the top most top universities in the USA and I would like to study biology to become a doctor in the future.
✓ I would like to study at one of the top universities in the USA, and I would like to study biology to become a doctor.
'Top most top universities' is redundant and ungrammatical; use 'one of the top universities' or 'the top universities'. Also avoid repeating 'in the future' when it's already implied; 'to become a doctor' is sufficient.
