Are there tall buildings near your home?

Thí sinh

I live in the countryside and so there aren't any tall buildings, it's just houses or a landscape. And honestly I prefer it this way because for example, I live very close to the lake and due to the fact that there are no tall buildings in front of me, I can see the lake very well and it's just a very nice view to wake up to every morning.

Do you take photos of buildings?

Thí sinh

Yes, I do, especially when I visit the city at night. I find that cities at night are just very beautiful because of all of the fluorescent lights that are passing at the same time. I think in photos these fluorescent lights mixing all together form a beautiful image in people's minds and physically.

Do you want to live in a tall building?

Thí sinh

Personally, no I would not want to live in a tall building just because being really high up kind of scares me. The fact that I can't see the ground immediately. Additionally, I I know this is probably not the case but I feel like the higher up you go the lower the pressure is and it becomes harder to breathe and I just want to be able to get to my house as well.

Gợi ý: Réduisez la longueur et la redondance: commencez par une phrase directe répondant à la question, puis ajoutez une ou deux phrases de soutien avec des détails spécifiques. Utilisez des liaisons simples (for example, so) et évitez de répéter les mêmes idées (pas besoin de dire “it's just” deux fois).

Ví dụ: No, I live in the countryside so there are no tall buildings nearby. For example, my house is next to a lake, so the open view lets me see the water clearly every morning, which I really enjoy.

Gợi ý: Rendez la description plus précise et naturelle: donnez un ou deux exemples concrets (quel type de bâtiments, quel effet vous cherchez) et utilisez des mots plus appropriés que “fluorescent lights” si nécessaire (e.g. streetlights, neon signs). Ngữ pháp

Sentence structure errors

× I live in the countryside and so there aren't any tall buildings, it's just houses or a landscape.

I live in the countryside, so there aren't any tall buildings; it's just houses and open landscape.

The original sentence combines clauses with a comma splice and uses 'or a landscape' awkwardly. Replace the comma with a conjunction or semicolon to join independent clauses correctly and use 'and open landscape' for natural phrasing. Suggestion: use a semicolon or separate into two sentences and choose 'and' rather than 'or' for linked nouns.

Incorrect conjunction use

× And honestly I prefer it this way because for example, I live very close to the lake and due to the fact that there are no tall buildings in front of me, I can see the lake very well and it's just a very nice view to wake up to every morning.

Honestly, I prefer it this way because I live very close to the lake, and since there are no tall buildings in front of me, I can see the lake very well; it's a very nice view to wake up to every morning.

Beginning with 'And' is informal; 'because for example' is redundant. 'Due to the fact that' is wordy; 'since' is clearer. Use commas and a semicolon to separate clauses correctly. Suggestion: remove redundancies and connect clauses with appropriate conjunctions and punctuation.

Incorrect adverb placement

× Yes, I do, especially when I visit the city at night.

Yes, I do, especially when I visit cities at night.

'The city' implies a specific city; in general statements 'cities' is more natural. Place 'especially' before the clause it modifies; here position is acceptable but changing 'the city' to 'cities' fixes noun reference. Suggestion: use plural for general habits.

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× I find that cities at night are just very beautiful because of all of the fluorescent lights that are passing at the same time.

I find that cities at night are very beautiful because of all the fluorescent lights that are visible at the same time.

'Just very' is informal redundancy; 'passing' is incorrect for lights—use 'visible' or 'shining'. Also omit the extra 'of' after 'all'. Suggestion: avoid redundant intensifiers and choose verbs appropriate for lights.

Sentence structure errors

× I think in photos these fluorescent lights mixing all together form a beautiful image in people's minds and physically.

I think that in photos these fluorescent lights, mixed together, form a beautiful image both in people's minds and visually.

Original lacks correct verb form: 'mixing' should be 'mixed' (past participle) to act as modifier. 'Physically' is vague; 'visually' fits better. Suggestion: use past participle to create a reduced relative clause and choose precise adverb.

Modal verb usage

× I would love to visit the Colosseum because I've heard so many tales of drama pieces that haven't produced it reenacted sorry, in the Colosseum and I just wanna, I just want to get first hand experience of what the people must have witnessed back in ancient Roman times.

I would love to visit the Colosseum because I've heard many stories about dramatic performances reenacted there, and I want to get first-hand experience of what people must have witnessed in ancient Roman times.

Sentence contained multiple issues: awkward passive/negation 'haven't produced it reenacted' is incorrect. Replace with 'dramatic performances reenacted there'. Informal 'wanna' should be 'want to'. 'First hand' should be hyphenated. Simplify and reorder for clarity. Suggestion: avoid contractions and informal speech in formal answers, use correct verb patterns and hyphenation.

Present tense issue

× Personally, no I would not want to live in a tall building just because being really high up kind of scares me.

Personally, no; I would not want to live in a tall building because being very high up kind of scares me.

Use a semicolon or comma to separate introductory negative response from the main clause. 'Really' is informal; 'very' is more neutral. Suggestion: punctuate pauses properly and prefer neutral adverbs in formal speech.

Sentence structure errors

× The fact that I can't see the ground immediately.

I don't like that I can't see the ground immediately.

The original is a sentence fragment lacking a main verb. Turn the clause into a complete sentence by adding a main verb (e.g., 'I don't like that...') or attach it to the previous sentence. Suggestion: ensure each sentence has a subject and a finite verb.

Incorrect conjunction use

× Additionally, I I know this is probably not the case but I feel like the higher up you go the lower the pressure is and it becomes harder to breathe and I just want to be able to get to my house as well.

Additionally, I know this is probably not the case, but I feel that the higher you go, the lower the pressure is, so it becomes harder to breathe, and I just want to be able to get to my house easily.

Duplicate 'I' is a typo. Run-on sentence with multiple 'and's; use commas and 'but' to join contrasting ideas. Replace 'feel like' with 'feel that' for formality and 'as well' with 'easily' for clarity. Suggestion: remove duplicates, insert commas to separate clauses, and choose appropriate conjunctions and adverbs.
