Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
Thí sinh
Good job! - You answered the question directly and gave a contrast between seasons, which is what the examiner expects. - Your meaning is generally clear: you prefer hot, warming soups in winter and lighter, normal rice-based meals in summer. Improvement suggestions: - Coherence & length: Expand slightly to reach 2–3 sentences and add one short reason or example for each season (e.g., to keep warm in winter, to feel refreshed in summer). - Grammar: Correct verb forms and sentence structure (e.g., “I prefer to eat…” not “I will eat the I prefer to eat…”).

Thí sinh
Absolutely yes. When I watch in my childhood, my taste is different. Tonight, in my childhood, I prefers, as I mentioned before, that I love soup.
What is your favourite food?
Điểm: 35.0Gợi ý: Cải thiện ngữ pháp, độ mạch lạc và cụ thể hóa nội dung. Tránh câu lặp và từ không chính xác (ví dụ “free food”, “the Ramadan” không đúng). Bắt đầu bằng câu chủ đề rõ ràng (“My favourite food is…”), dùng 1–2 câu bổ sung giải thích vì sao (hương vị, thành phần, khi nào bạn ăn nó) và giữ tổng số câu trong 2–3 câu. Chú ý dùng từ vựng chính xác (dish, soup, noodles, meat) và ngữ pháp đơn giản (is/are, I prefer, it tastes).
Ví dụ: My favourite food is a hot noodle soup I often eat in winter. I like it because it combines tender meat and a rich, savoury broth that keeps me warm on cold days.
What kind of food did you like when you were young?
Điểm: 30.0Gợi ý: Làm rõ thời gian (when I was young) và dùng thì quá khứ. Tránh từ lắp (“umm”) và câu rời rạc. Nói trực tiếp: “When I was a child, I liked…” rồi nêu 1–2 chi tiết cụ thể (loại súp, lý do). Giữ 2 câu, dùng liên từ như “because” hoặc “especially” để nối ý và làm rõ lý do.
Ví dụ: When I was a child, I liked warm soups the most, especially noodle soups with vegetables. I loved them because they were comforting and my family often cooked them for dinner.
Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
Điểm: 55.0Gợi ý: Nói rõ bằng 2–3 câu, dùng thì hiện tại đơn để mô tả thói quen theo mùa và thêm lý do ngắn cho mỗi mùa. Tránh văn bản phản hồi trong câu trả lời (xóa “Good job!”). Dùng liên từ như “in winter” / “in summer” và “because” hoặc “so” để liên kết ý, đồng thời kiểm tra ngữ pháp (“I prefer” not “I will”).
Ví dụ: Yes, I eat different foods depending on the season. In winter I prefer hot soups and stews because they keep me warm, while in summer I choose lighter dishes like rice with vegetables to feel refreshed.
Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?
Điểm: 28.0Gợi ý: Trả lời trực tiếp rồi giải thích bằng thì phù hợp (quá khứ cho sở thích xưa và hiện tại cho bây giờ). Tránh lỗi ngữ pháp và từ sai (ví dụ “watch” nên là “was”, “Tonight” không phù hợp). Dùng 2–3 câu: thừa nhận sự thay đổi và nêu lý do ngắn (ví dụ thử món mới, thay đổi khẩu vị).
Ví dụ: Yes, my favourite food has changed since I was a child. I used to prefer simple soups when I was young, but now I enjoy more diverse dishes, like spicy or grilled foods, because I have tried more cuisines.
× Well to be honest I don't have any free food but if I need to choose one, offer my favorite food or dish, I will choose the Ramadan.
✓ Well, to be honest, I don't have a favourite food, but if I need to choose one, I would choose ramen.
The original sentence has sentence structure problems and incorrect word choices (Ramadan vs ramen). Use conditional 'would' for hypothetical choice and correct noun 'ramen'. Also add commas and correct article/word order to make the sentence natural.
× It is a foreign dish in Japan and winter souped noodles and meat and it should really really shine me and suitable for a person.
✓ It is a dish from abroad in Japan: warm noodle soup with meat, which is really comforting and suitable for cold weather.
Original sentence misuses adjectives/adverbs and has poor word order ('souped noodles', 'shine me'). Correct by using adjective phrases ('warm noodle soup'), relative clause for description, and appropriate collocations like 'comforting' and 'suitable for cold weather'.
× In my childhood umm souped food, anything we should, I will really love.
✓ In my childhood, I loved soupy foods; I really liked anything like that.
Original sentence has incorrect tense and structure. Use past tense 'loved' for childhood and correct noun phrase 'soupy foods'. Remove unnecessary modal 'should' and use clear clause structure.
× So if the fruit have a soup, noodles or a fruit or anything else I will really like.
✓ So if a dish has soup, noodles, or other ingredients, I would really like it.
Original uses plural verb with singular noun ('fruit have'). Correct subject-verb agreement with 'a dish has' and use conditional 'would' for preference; clarify 'fruit' confusion by using 'dish' or 'food'.
× Good job!
✓ (This line is feedback from the examiner and does not need correction.)
No grammatical correction needed; keep as examiner feedback.
× You answered the question directly and gave a contrast between seasons, which is what the examiner expects.
✓ You answer the question directly and give a contrast between seasons, which is what the examiner expects.
Examiner feedback typically uses present simple to describe test-taker's performance in general; original uses past tense which is also acceptable, but present is more appropriate for general feedback. Change to present simple for consistency.

× Absolutely yes. When I watch in my childhood, my taste is different.
✓ Absolutely. When I was a child, my tastes were different.
Use past tense 'was' and correct expression 'when I was a child'. 'My taste is different' should be past 'tastes were different' to match timeframe and plural 'tastes' for variety.
× Tonight, in my childhood, I prefers, as I mentioned before, that I love soup.
✓ As I mentioned before, when I was a child I preferred soups.
Remove 'Tonight' which is incorrect. Use past tense 'preferred' and plural 'soups'. Also correct verb form 'prefers' to 'preferred' to agree with subject and timeframe; fix pronoun placement and sentence order for clarity.
