What is your favourite food?
Thí sinh
My favorite food doesn't have a specific name, but it is made out of rice and has a lot of vegetables. It is crucially important for me because my mother used to make it since I was a kid and I fell in love with it. Honestly, I can eat it every time for breakfast, lunch, and even for dessert. I think that I can strongly say it is one of my favorite and comfort food.

What kind of food did you like when you were young?
Thí sinh
When I was young, I wasn't really a big pick eater so I almost ate everything and I didn't have the problem with specific food but I always avoided cuisines that had meat in it. But I always liked eating junk food and especially desserts. And still I am bigger now and I am a teen and I still love to eat this type of food.

Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
Thí sinh
Well, generally speaking, not that much, but it also depends. For example, at some more I tend to eat more fruity stuff, for example Peach, strawberries and especially watermelon. And of course, during New Years I tend to eat warmer stuffs and even drinks like cozy warm and hot drinks. And that's one of my favorite things.

Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?
Thí sinh
Now as I mentioned before in my previous question, my mother used to make a rice vegetable salad and growing up it was one of my favorite dishes. And every single time I wake up and I smell the aroma of this specific dish, I always makes me happy and comforted.
What is your favourite food?
Điểm: 70.0Gợi ý: Be more concise and natural: start with a clear topic sentence naming the dish (or describing it briefly), then add one or two specific supporting details (why you like it and a brief memory). Avoid redundancy and small grammar mistakes (e.g., "crucially important"→"very important", "comfort food" needs an article). Use linking words like "because" or "so" to connect ideas.
Ví dụ: My favourite food is a home-made rice and vegetable dish my mother used to make. I love it because it reminds me of my childhood and the aroma always makes me feel comforted. Because it is light and tasty, I can enjoy it at any time of the day.
What kind of food did you like when you were young?
Điểm: 60.0Gợi ý: Give a clear topic sentence then specific examples and avoid repetition. Correct grammar and phrasing ("picky eater", "I avoided meat dishes"). Use a linking word to contrast past and present if needed. Keep it within 3–4 sentences.
Ví dụ: I was not a picky eater as a child, so I tried many kinds of food, although I usually avoided meat dishes. I especially enjoyed junk food and desserts, like chips and chocolate cake. I still like sweet treats now, even though I try to eat them less often.
Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
Điểm: 65.0Gợi ý: Answer directly and give specific seasonal examples with correct vocabulary and grammar (e.g., "peaches", "strawberries", "warm foods and drinks"). Use linking words like "for example" and "in winter". Avoid vague phrases like "some more" and repeated words.
Ví dụ: Not much, but I do eat more seasonal foods. For example, in summer I eat lots of fruits such as peaches, strawberries and especially watermelon. In winter, especially around New Year, I prefer warm foods and hot drinks like soup and spiced tea.
Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?
Điểm: 68.0Gợi ý: Begin with a clear direct answer (Yes/No) and then explain briefly with a reason and specific detail. Fix grammar ("makes me"→"makes me feel"). Avoid repetition of earlier statements; add a small new detail about why it remains a favourite.
Ví dụ: No, my favourite food has not changed; I still love the rice and vegetable salad my mother used to make. Whenever I smell it cooking, it makes me feel happy because it reminds me of family meals and childhood comfort.
× My favorite food doesn't have a specific name, but it is made out of rice and has a lot of vegetables.
✓ My favorite food doesn't have a specific name, but it is made of rice and has a lot of vegetables.
Use 'made of' (not 'made out of') to describe the material or ingredients of a dish; 'made out of' is informal and can imply transformation. Change improves naturalness.
× It is crucially important for me because my mother used to make it since I was a kid and I fell in love with it.
✓ It is crucially important to me because my mother used to make it when I was a kid and I fell in love with it.
When referring to a time in the past that began and ended, use 'when I was a kid' rather than 'since I was a kid' with 'used to'. 'Since' requires present perfect. Also use 'important to me' not 'for me'.
× Honestly, I can eat it every time for breakfast, lunch, and even for dessert.
✓ Honestly, I can eat it any time: for breakfast, lunch, and even for dessert.
Use 'any time' (or 'every time' with a context) and better punctuation/word order for clarity. 'Every time for' is awkward here.
× I think that I can strongly say it is one of my favorite and comfort food.
✓ I think I can confidently say it is one of my favorite and most comforting foods.
Use 'confidently' rather than 'strongly say'; 'comfort food' is a noun phrase so use 'comforting' as adjective or plural 'foods' with 'one of'. Also 'favorite' pairs with plural noun 'foods'.
× When I was young, I wasn't really a big pick eater so I almost ate everything and I didn't have the problem with specific food but I always avoided cuisines that had meat in it.
✓ When I was young, I wasn't really a picky eater, so I ate almost everything and I didn't have a problem with specific foods, but I always avoided cuisines that had meat in them.
Use 'picky eater' not 'pick eater'; 'ate almost everything' is clearer. Use 'a problem' not 'the problem' and plural 'foods' and 'meat in them' to match plural 'cuisines'.
× But I always liked eating junk food and especially desserts.
✓ But I always liked eating junk food, especially desserts.
Minor punctuation: remove 'and' when 'especially' modifies the previous clause. Tense 'liked' is acceptable for past preference.
× And still I am bigger now and I am a teen and I still love to eat this type of food.
✓ Now I am older and I am a teen, and I still love to eat this type of food.
Use 'older' not 'bigger' to express growing up; avoid repeating 'still' twice. Sentence ordering improved.
× For example, at some more I tend to eat more fruity stuff, for example Peach, strawberries and especially watermelon.
✓ For example, in some seasons I tend to eat more fruit, for example peaches, strawberries and especially watermelon.
Use 'in some seasons' not 'at some more'; 'fruit' is uncountable/general and 'peaches' plural; capitalize only proper nouns.
× And of course, during New Years I tend to eat warmer stuffs and even drinks like cozy warm and hot drinks.
✓ And of course, during New Year I tend to eat warmer foods and have warm drinks, like cozy hot beverages.
'New Year' or 'New Year's' is correct form; 'stuffs' is incorrect, use 'foods'; avoid repeating 'warm'; 'beverages' is more natural.
× Now as I mentioned before in my previous question, my mother used to make a rice vegetable salad and growing up it was one of my favorite dishes.
✓ As I mentioned earlier, my mother used to make a rice-and-vegetable salad, and growing up it was one of my favorite dishes.
Streamline 'now as I mentioned before in my previous question' to 'as I mentioned earlier'; hyphenate 'rice-and-vegetable' for clarity.
× And every single time I wake up and I smell the aroma of this specific dish, I always makes me happy and comforted.
✓ And every single time I wake up and smell the aroma of this dish, it always makes me happy and comforted.
Subject-verb agreement: 'it makes' (not 'I makes'); remove redundant 'I' before 'smell' and simplify 'this specific dish' to 'this dish'.
