What is your favourite food?
Điểm: 58.0Gợi ý: Cải thiện ngữ pháp cơ bản, phát âm và mạch câu. Tránh lặp từ và sử dụng câu ngắn gọn, rõ ràng (tối đa 3–4 câu). Sử dụng thì phù hợp (present simple) và sửa lỗi danh từ đếm được/không đếm được (a spicy noodle → spicy noodles hoặc a spicy noodle dish). Thêm mệnh đề hỗ trợ rõ ràng với liên từ (because, so) để câu mạch lạc.
Ví dụ: My favourite food is spicy noodles. I first enjoyed them as a child because they were quick and easy to make. I still eat them in my free time because I like the strong, warming flavour.
What kind of food did you like when you were young?
Điểm: 52.0Gợi ý: Sửa lỗi ngữ pháp (thì quá khứ và hiện tại), phát âm và tính mạch lạc. Dùng một câu chủ đề rõ ràng, sau đó giải thích bằng 1–2 câu hỗ trợ với liên từ (because, so). Tránh tiếng lấp và động từ sai dạng (I were → I was; I usually eating → I usually eat).
Ví dụ: When I was young, I already liked spicy food. I loved the strong, warming taste because it felt comforting. So even now I often choose spicy dishes when I can.
Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
Điểm: 60.0Gợi ý: Cải thiện cấu trúc câu và tính chính xác ngữ pháp. Trả lời trực tiếp (Yes/No) rồi giải thích ngắn gọn với lý do cụ thể. Tránh các cụm từ mơ hồ như "just what I want"; thay vào đó nêu ví dụ cụ thể (trái cây mùa hè, súp mùa đông) nếu có. Dùng linking words (because, so) để liên kết ý.
Ví dụ: Not really. I usually eat the same types of food year-round because I choose meals based on what I feel like eating, not the season. For example, I might eat spicy noodles in both winter and summer rather than switching to seasonal dishes.
Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?
Điểm: 65.0Gợi ý: Tránh nhầm lẫn từ vựng (favorite fruit → favourite food) và dùng thì đúng (now that I have grown up / since I grew up). Trả lời trực tiếp rồi giải thích nguyên nhân cụ thể (health, taste change). Giữ câu ngắn gọn và mạch lạc, dùng liên từ như because hoặc although.
Ví dụ: Yes, my favourite food has changed since childhood. I used to prefer sweet snacks like chocolate and chips, but as I grew up I started avoiding them for health reasons and now prefer savoury, spicier meals.
× Well, when I saw this topic a food that immediately came to my mind was none other than a spicy noodles.
✓ Well, when I saw this topic, a food that immediately came to my mind was none other than spicy noodles.
Use of the indefinite article 'a' and the definite article 'the' before an uncountable or plural noun is incorrect here. 'Noodles' is a plural/uncountable food noun, so it should not take 'a' or 'a spicy noodles'. Remove 'a' and use 'spicy noodles' without an article. Suggestion: Use 'spicy noodles' or 'a bowl of spicy noodles' if you mean a single serving.
× It is one of my all time favorite food when I was a child 'cause I always eat this food when I umm, have free time because it easy to cook.
✓ It was one of my all-time favorite foods when I was a child because I always ate it when I had free time since it was easy to cook.
Tense inconsistency and article/number errors. The speaker refers to childhood (past), so use past tense 'was' and 'ate'. 'All-time favorite foods' should be plural to match 'one of'. 'It easy to cook' lacks auxiliary 'was'. Also replace colloquial 'cause' with 'because' and 'I umm' should be omitted. Suggestions: Keep past tense throughout when talking about childhood; use correct pluralization and include the appropriate auxiliary verbs.
× Astrally when I were young and right now I still like eating spicy food.
✓ Actually, when I was young and now, I still like eating spicy food.
Wrong verb form 'were' with singular subject 'I'—should be 'was'. Also 'Astrally' is a misspelling of 'Actually'. 'Right now' placement is awkward; use 'now'. Suggestion: Use 'was' for first-person singular in past reference and correct word choice and order.
× I I mean I love the taste of uh, spicy.
✓ I mean, I love the spicy taste.
Word order is awkward: 'the taste of spicy' is not natural. Use 'spicy taste' or 'the taste of spice'. Also remove filler 'uh' for clarity. Suggestion: Place adjective before noun ('spicy taste').
× It's comforting and flavour.
✓ It's comforting and flavorful.
'Flavour' as a noun here is incorrect; the speaker likely means the adjective 'flavorful' (US) or 'flavourful' (UK). Also keep parallel adjective forms 'comforting and flavorful'. Suggestion: Use adjectives in a coordinated list.
× So whenever I have time I usually eating it.
✓ So whenever I have time I usually eat it.
Incorrect verb form after adverb 'usually'. Use the base form 'eat' for habitual present actions. 'Usually eating' would require a continuous structure with auxiliary (e.g., 'I am usually eating it' meaning currently), which does not fit. Suggestion: Use simple present for habits.
× I think it's really depends 'cause I don't usually change on the food that I eat at different times of the year and just what I want to eat.
✓ I think it really depends because I don't usually change the food that I eat at different times of the year; I just eat what I want to eat.
'Depends' should not have 'it's' contraction in that placement; better 'it really depends'. 'Change on the food' is incorrect preposition: use 'change the food' or 'change what I eat'. Also punctuation and phrasing improved. Suggestion: Use 'depends' with correct structure and use 'change' without 'on' when referring to food choices.
× I just eat and buy them.
✓ I just eat and buy the foods I like.
Pronoun 'them' is vague and sentence lacks clarity. Specify 'the foods I like' to clarify reference. Suggestion: Make the object explicit to avoid ambiguity.
× I mean I don't think other purpose about choosing a food, just I want and I need to eat it.
✓ I mean, I don't think about any other purpose when choosing food; I just choose it because I want or need to eat it.
Awkward word order and missing preposition 'about'. 'Other purpose about' is incorrect. Rephrase for clarity and logical order. Suggestion: Use 'think about any other purpose' and restructure sentence to show cause.
× Yes, of course my favorite fruit has changed a lot because when I was a child I used to like to eat umm, sweet like chocolate or chips.
✓ Yes, of course my favorite foods have changed a lot because when I was a child I used to like sweets like chocolate or chips.
Mix of singular/plural and article errors. 'Favorite fruit' is inconsistent with examples 'chocolate or chips' which are sweets/foods; use 'favorite foods' or 'favorite snacks'. 'Sweet' should be plural 'sweets'. Suggestion: Match category words and pluralization to examples.
× But now when I grow up I don't eat this type of food anymore.
✓ But now that I have grown up, I don't eat this type of food anymore.
Tense mismatch: 'when I grow up' refers to future; to indicate completed growth use present perfect 'have grown up' or 'now that I am grown up'. This preserves contrast between past habit and present. Suggestion: Use 'now that I have grown up' for present state resulting from past change.
