Do you like reading?

Do you like reading? Absolutely. I'm a big fan of reading. I especially enjoy the books with fascinating plots and charming characters like my brilliant friend and Catcher in the Ray. I have to read 2 to 3 pages every day or I will feel very uncomfortable.

Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
Thí sinh
For most of the time I prefer reading on paper 'cause it makes me feel like I'm turning the pages and smelling the ink, and it's more easily for me to get concentrated. But I still get a Kindle to carry around 'cause it's more flexible and portable, especially when I'm traveling or on the go.

When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
Thí sinh
I think it depends on what I'm reading. If I'm reading something serious like academic paper or professional books, I may read word by word in case I miss any key information. But for light reading like news or magazines, I may just skim it through to save time.

Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
Thí sinh
And just as I told you, it depends on what I'm reading. If I'm reading something academic, I may slow down to catch all the information. But if I'm reading something casually, just for entertaining or fun, I may skim it through quickly so that I can read more in a short time.
Do you like reading?
注意:不要重复考官的问题;避免书名误写(如“The Catcher in the Rye”);句子稍显冗长且有语法小错误(例如“books with... like my brilliant friend and Catcher in the Ray”语义混乱)。
Ví dụ: I enjoy reading. I especially like contemporary novels with strong characters, such as The Catcher in the Rye. I try to read two to three pages every day because it helps me relax and keeps my mind active.
Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
Điểm: 82.0Gợi ý: 回答清晰且有对比,但有少量语法和用词问题(如“more easily for me to get concentrated”应为“easier for me to concentrate”;口语缩写可适度减少)。 (I prefer paper for most reading)。
Ví dụ: I prefer reading on paper for most books because turning pages and the smell of ink help me concentrate. However, I use a Kindle when I travel because it's lightweight and can store many books.
When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
Ví dụ: It depends on the material. For academic papers or professional reports I read carefully, word by word, because I don’t want to miss key information. For news articles or magazines I usually skim to get the main idea quickly.
Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
小改进点:1) 开头避免口语化的冗余短语(如“And just as I told you”),可直接回答并说明原因。
Ví dụ: It depends on the purpose. For academic texts I read in detail to understand all the points. For entertainment or casual reading I usually skim so I can cover more material quickly.
× I especially enjoy the books with fascinating plots and charming characters like my brilliant friend and Catcher in the Ray.
✓ I especially enjoy books with fascinating plots and charming characters like my brilliant friend and Catcher in the Rye.
英语中通常说 "enjoy books" 而不是 "enjoy the books"(除非指特定的一些书);另外“Catcher in the Ray” 是拼写错误,正确书名为 "Catcher in the Rye"。
× and it's more easily for me to get concentrated.
✓ and it's easier for me to concentrate.
建议使用比较级形容词 + 不定式结构:"easier for me to do sth."。
× But I still get a Kindle to carry around 'cause it's more flexible and portable, especially when I'm traveling or on the go.
✓ But I still get a Kindle to carry around because it's more flexible and portable, especially when I'm traveling or on the go.
× If I'm reading something serious like academic paper or professional books, I may read word by word in case I miss any key information.
✓ If I'm reading something serious like an academic paper or professional books, I may read word by word in case I miss any key information.
× But for light reading like news or magazines, I may just skim it through to save time.
✓ But for light reading like news or magazines, I may just skim through it to save time.
动词短语常用搭配为 "skim through something" 或 "skim something",而不是 "skim it through"(代词位置不自然)。此处应把代词放在动词短语后或直接省略代词:"skim through it" 或 "skim through"。
× If I'm reading something academic, I may slow down to catch all the information.
✓ If I'm reading something academic, I may slow down to catch all the information.
× But if I'm reading something casually, just for entertaining or fun, I may skim it through quickly so that I can read more in a short time.
✓ But if I'm reading something casually, just for entertainment or fun, I may skim through it quickly so that I can read more in a short time.
另外同上,动词短语应为 "skim through it" 而不是 "skim it through"。
