Sugestão: 質問には直接答えられていますが、「when I was a church」は意味が通らないため、「when I was a child」または「when I was young」と言いましょう。また、「No, I didn’t.」の後に、持っていなかった理由や代わりにしていたことを1文加えると、より自然で具体的になります。

Exemplo: Yes, bikes are quite popular in Japan, especially among students and people who live in cities. Many people use them for commuting because they are convenient and environmentally friendly.

× No I didn't have a bike when I was a church.

✓ No, I didn't have a bike when I was at church.

The preposition at is used in the expression at church when referring to attending or being present at a church service. A church refers to a specific building, so saying I was a church is incorrect. Also, a comma is needed after No, although this is a punctuation correction rather than a listed grammar problem.

× Yes, many people use a bicycle in Japan.

✓ Yes, many people use bicycles in Japan.

When speaking generally about the type of vehicle used by many people, the plural noun bicycles is more appropriate than the singular phrase a bicycle. Use a plural countable noun when referring to multiple examples or a general category.
