How do you remember people's names?
Candidato
For remembering people's name, I have a little trick that is I pick a nickname for him or her. Maybe a person that is very tall, then I make a basketball name for him or her which is very easy for me to remind it like they're rhyming or something for me like my name is Lee. So I think I like peer and peer is quite similar to the pronunciation in Cantonese of Lee.

How do you feel when people can't remember your name?
Candidato
I understand that many people may feel frustrated when they cannot remember by others but for me it's like a relief because I share the same problem. I was just like okay I will speak my name once again because I think that it's not very easy for others to remember my name. Is it easy for you to remember people's names?
建议:1) 开门见山给出明确主题句,例如 “No, I find it difficult to remember names.” 2) 用一到两句具体原因支持主题句(如文化差异、姓名结构不同),并使用连接词(because, so, therefore)使逻辑清楚。3) 注意单复数和冠词(people’s names, too many)。
Exemplo: No, I find it difficult to remember people's names. I grew up in China where names follow a different order, and in my current multicultural environment there are many unfamiliar sounds. Because of these differences, I often mix up first and last names, so it is hard for me to remember them.

2) 用一两个清晰具体的例子说明方法(nickname based on appearance or rhyme),避免无关或混淆的信息。
Exemplo: I usually give people simple nicknames to help me remember them. For example, if someone is very tall I might call them “Basketball” in my head, or I use a rhyme with their name, which makes it easier to recall later.
How do you feel when people can't remember your name?
建议:1) 先给出直接的情感回应(e.g., “I feel relaxed” or “I don’t mind”)。 (I remind them, or I repeat my name)。
Exemplo: I don't mind if people forget my name; it actually feels a bit of a relief because I often forget names too. When it happens, I usually repeat my name politely and give a small hint to help them remember.
Do you often forget people's names?
Pontuação: 45.0Sugestão: 回答意图是想表达记忆名字但难以把名字和面孔对应上,但句子混乱且不连贯。建议:1) 开门见山回答(e.g., “I don't often forget names completely, but I struggle to match names with faces.”)。2) 用一到两句具体说明何时会忘记或不会忘记,并用连接词使逻辑清晰。3) 注意时态和语法(I never forget -> I rarely forget once I have learned a name)。
Exemplo: I don't often forget names entirely, but I find it difficult to match names with faces at first. However, once I have linked a name to a person, I rarely forget it later.
× Not really. For me, people's name is like recommendations for me to understand who's cooking, but I live in a very diverse environment so people name is too conflicted.
✓ Not really. For me, people's names are like clues to help me understand who is who, but I live in a very diverse environment so people's names are too varied.
句中“people's name”应为复数“people's names”,因为指不止一个人的名字;动词也要与复数主语一致(are)。另外“recommendations”用法不当,用“clues”更贴切;“who's cooking”与语境不符,改为“who is who”(识别谁是谁)更准确。
× I'm Chinese so my name's just a free lectures.
✓ I'm Chinese so my name's just a short lecture.
× They have two many first name, last name, which is very hard for me to follow.
✓ They have too many first names and last names, which is very hard for me to follow.
“two many”拼写错误且应为“too many”;“first name, last name”指多个名字,应使用复数“first names and last names”。
× So it's very difficult for me to remember people's name.
✓ So it's very difficult for me to remember people's names.
× For remembering people's name, I have a little trick that is I pick a nickname for him or her.
✓ To remember people's names, I have a little trick: I pick a nickname for each person.
“For remembering”虽可接受但更自然的结构是不定式“To remember”;另外“people's name”要用复数“names”,并且“him or her”换成“each person”更流畅并避免重复性别表达。
× Maybe a person that is very tall, then I make a basketball name for him or her which is very easy for me to remind it like they're rhyming or something for me like my name is Lee.
✓ For example, if a person is very tall, I give them a nickname related to basketball, which is very easy for me to remember because it rhymes with my name; for example, my name is Lee.
句中“a person that is very tall”可以保留但后半部分语序混乱。“make a basketball name for him or her”不自然,改为“give them a nickname related to basketball”。“remind it”错误,应用“remember it”。
× So I think I like peer and peer is quite similar to the pronunciation in Cantonese of Lee.
✓ So I think I like 'Peer' because 'Peer' is quite similar in pronunciation to 'Lee' in Cantonese.
原句“I think I like peer”表意不清;需要加引号或说明是绰号。将句子整理为“because ... is similar in pronunciation to ...”
× I understand that many people may feel frustrated when they cannot remember by others but for me it's like a relief because I share the same problem.
✓ I understand that many people may feel frustrated when their names cannot be remembered by others, but for me it's a relief because I have the same problem.
原句“cannot remember by others”被动结构错误,应表达“他们的名字无法被别人记住”或用主动“I have the same problem”。此外“a relief”前不需要“like”。
× I was just like okay I will speak my name once again because I think that it's not very easy for others to remember my name.
✓ I would just say, 'Okay,' and say my name once again because I think it's not easy for others to remember it.
“I will speak my name”不如“say my name”自然;“I was just like okay I will”口语化且时态不一致,改为条件/习惯表达“I would just say”。
× So it's kind of like our opportunity to remember or find out our speciality for others to remember.
✓ So it's kind of an opportunity for people to remember us or to learn what makes our names special.
× Quite the opposite I remember people's name but I cannot like face to face and matching with their faces or therefore not good and remember their names but once I remember it I never forgot
✓ Quite the opposite: I can remember people's names, but I cannot always match them to faces when I see people face to face; however, once I remember a name, I never forget it.
