Is your home town a good place for young people?
Candidato
Pre presently speaking no because looking back to it, it's not really the same place I grew up anymore so I don't really recommend it for the young people growing up since the connection and the warmth isn't there anymore, just like how it used to be.

Pronunciation/grammar: say 'My hometown is Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines' and avoid repeating 'Metro Manila' or misplacing words like 'perennial city'.
Exemplo: My hometown is Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines. I grew up there until I moved to study in another city after the pandemic.

Pontuação: 60.0Sugestão: Give a clear direct answer (Yes/No) in the first sentence, then support it with one or two specific reasons, using linking words like 'because' or 'for example'. Avoid hesitations and wordiness; use simpler phrasing: e.g. 'At present, I would not recommend it because…'.

× 'My hometown is in perennial city Metro Manila, one of the biggest cities in Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines.'
✓ 'My hometown is the perennial city Metro Manila, one of the biggest cities and the capital of the Philippines.'
'Sentence structure and redundancy: The original repeats Metro Manila and uses awkward preposition "in" with "perennial city." Use the article "the" with a descriptive noun phrase and avoid repeating the place name. Suggestion: streamline to "My hometown is the perennial city Metro Manila, one of the biggest cities and the capital of the Philippines.".'
× 'So I basically grew up there.'
✓ 'I basically grew up there.'
'Sentence structure: Beginning a short declarative sentence with "So" is colloquial and unnecessary in formal responses. Remove "So" to make the sentence clearer and grammatically direct.'
× 'But then after the pandemic, we left for me to study in a different city.'
✓ 'After the pandemic, I left to study in a different city.'
'Sentence structure and pronoun use: The phrase "we left for me to study" is awkward and unclear. Use a subject that matches the action (I left) and place the purpose "to study" after the verb. This yields a clear, grammatical sentence.'
× 'My favorite part of my hometown are the memories inclined to it, the people, the connection, the places I grew up into.'
✓ 'My favorite part of my hometown is the memories associated with it: the people, the connections, and the places I grew up in.'
'Subject-verb agreement and word choice: The subject "My favorite part" is singular and requires "is." "Inclined to" is incorrect collocation; use "associated with." "Connection" should be plural "connections" to match the list. Use "grew up in" rather than "grew up into." Also add punctuation for clarity.'
× 'So I grew up there from birth to 19 years old, so basically my whole life.'
✓ 'I grew up there from birth until I was 19, so it was basically my whole life.'
'Tense and phrasing: Use "until I was 19" for age duration and keep past tense consistent: "I grew up" and "it was." The original mixes forms and uses "to 19 years old," which is unidiomatic.'
× 'So it's just really home.'
✓ 'So it really feels like home.'
'Sentence structure and register: "It's just really home" is informal and slightly ungrammatical. "It really feels like home" is a natural, complete expression.'
× 'I've lived there with my family for 19 years before leaving it after the pandemic.'
✓ 'I lived there with my family for 19 years before leaving after the pandemic.'
'Tense consistency: "I've lived there ... before leaving" mixes present perfect with a past reference. Use simple past "I lived" because the action is completed and followed by another past event. Also remove redundant "it."'
× 'Those 19 years were the most beautiful years of my life, starting from kinder, elementary, especially junior high school.'
✓ 'Those 19 years were the most beautiful years of my life, from kindergarten and elementary school, especially junior high school.'
'Sentence structure and word choice: Use full forms "kindergarten" and "elementary school." Remove "starting" which creates an awkward clause; instead use a clear listing "from ... to ..." or simply list the stages. This improves clarity.'
× 'I've had a lot of really, really good memories tied to that place.'
✓ 'I have a lot of great memories tied to that place.'
'Register and tense: "I've had a lot of really, really good memories" is acceptable but repetitive. For clarity and conciseness, use "I have a lot of great memories." Present perfect is okay here if you want to emphasize continuing relevance; keep it consistent with surrounding past references.'
× 'Pre presently speaking no because looking back to it, it's not really the same place I grew up anymore so I don't really recommend it for the young people growing up since the connection and the warmth isn't there anymore, just like how it used to be.'
✓ 'Presently speaking, no. Looking back, it is not the same place I grew up in anymore, so I do not recommend it for young people growing up there, since the connections and warmth are not the same as before.'
'Multiple issues: The original is run-on and contains awkward phrases. Break into sentences for clarity. Use "Presently speaking, no." or simply "No, not really." Use "grew up in" and pluralize "connections." Use "are not" to match plural subject. Avoid casual contractions and repetitions in formal correction. This addresses sentence structure, pronoun placement, and subject-verb agreement.'
