Do you work or are you a student?
점수: 62.0제안: Be concise and coherent: start with a clear topic sentence stating your status, avoid repetition, correct grammar (e.g., "I'm good at academics", "I do extracurricular activities"), and limit to 3–4 sentences. Use linking words to connect ideas (for example, "Besides" or "Additionally") and correct verb forms and articles.
예시: I am a recent master's graduate and currently a student planning further study. Besides being dedicated to my coursework, I take part in extracurricular activities such as the debating club and volunteer tutoring. Additionally, I am considering pursuing a PhD to focus on research.
Where do you study?
점수: 68.0제안: Give a direct answer then add one or two specific supporting details. Avoid vague praise (e.g., "amazing platform") and improve grammar (say "I graduated from" rather than "completed my degree from"). Use linking words like "It has" or "For example" to add coherence.
예시: I graduated with a master's degree from Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran. It has a strong placement record; for example, many students secure jobs in IT and engineering firms through campus recruitment.
Is it a good place to study?
점수: 75.0제안: Respond directly and then give specific evidence. Correct small grammar points ("Landran" if that is the spelling; add articles: "a strong placement record" -> "a strong placement record"). Use linking words like "because" or "for example" to explain why it is good.
예시: Yes. Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, is one of the top colleges in Punjab. For example, it has a strong placement record and offers mentoring programs that helped many of my classmates find jobs.
Would you like the place where you study to make any changes?
점수: 70.0제안: Give a concise suggestion with clear reasons and an example of the impact. Use linking words ("because", "so", "for instance") but avoid repetition and long sentences. Correct grammar ("install more labs" -> "build more labs" or "add more lab facilities").
예시: Yes, I suggested they build more laboratory facilities because the existing 10 labs are often overcrowded. For instance, crowded labs make it hard to complete experiments on time, so adding two or three more labs would improve learning and safety.
What are your future study plans?
점수: 66.0제안: State your plan clearly and give specific reasons or steps. Avoid repeating words ("planning to contemplating") and use correct collocations ("pursue a PhD abroad"). Mention specific research interests or actions (e.g., applying to universities, preparing a proposal) to make the answer concrete.
예시: I plan to pursue a PhD abroad to develop my research in materials science. I am preparing by reading current papers, contacting potential supervisors, and planning to apply to programs in the UK and Germany next year so I can publish research and build an academic career.
× I'm a passionate student, I'm a very good at academics.
✓ I'm a passionate student; I'm very good at academics.
The phrase 'a very good at' incorrectly uses the article 'a' before the adjective phrase. 'Good' is an adjective modifying ability and does not require 'a' here. Use a semicolon or conjunction to join clauses for clarity. Suggestion: remove 'a' and use proper punctuation to separate independent clauses.
× Apart from academics, I'm a great student.
✓ Apart from academics, I participate actively in student life.
The original sentence is vague and slightly redundant after the previous sentence. It also sounds unnatural to say 'I'm a great student' immediately after saying 'I'm very good at academics.' Rephrase to show specific non-academic strengths. Suggestion: mention specific activities or qualities to make the sentence clearer and more natural.
× I extracurriculum activities too.
✓ I participate in extracurricular activities too.
'Extracurriculum' is not correct English; the correct noun phrase is 'extracurricular activities.' Also a verb is needed: 'I participate in...'. Suggestion: use 'participate in' or 'take part in' with 'extracurricular activities.'
× I've recently completed my masters and now I'm contemplating to pursue my PhD.
✓ I've recently completed my master's and now I'm contemplating pursuing my PhD.
After 'contemplating' use the gerund 'pursuing' rather than the infinitive 'to pursue.' Also 'masters' should be written with an apostrophe as 'master's' when referring to the degree. Suggestion: use 'contemplate' + -ing form and correct degree punctuation.
× I recently completed my master's degree from CGC Landra.
✓ I recently completed my master's degree at CGC Landra.
When indicating the institution where a degree was earned, use the preposition 'at' rather than 'from' in this context; 'from' is not strictly wrong but 'at' is more natural. This also addresses preposition use (ID 11) but primarily corrects common collocation. Suggestion: use 'at' for institutions.
× It is an amazing platform for a student to get educated from such college that gives you a bright future and huge amount of placements as well.
✓ It is an amazing place for students to study; the college gives a bright future and a large number of placement opportunities.
The original sentence uses awkward phrasing and incorrect collocations: 'platform for a student to get educated from such college' is ungrammatical and 'huge amount of placements' is incorrect because 'placements' is countable and requires 'number' not 'amount.' Also pronoun mix ('you') is informal. Suggestion: rephrase using 'place for students to study' and 'a large number of placements.'
× It is an excellent place to study with strong placement record and good support for students which help many of my classmates.
✓ It is an excellent place to study with a strong placement record and good support for students, which helps many of my classmates.
Subject-verb agreement: the relative clause 'which help many of my classmates' refers to 'support' (singular) or to the whole idea and therefore requires the singular verb 'helps.' Also add the article 'a' before 'strong placement record.' Suggestion: ensure verb agrees with its subject and include necessary articles.
× As a student I struggled a lot in the lab work so I requested to my college that they should install some more labs because there were 10 labs and all of the labs were very congested due to a lot of students so they should install more.
✓ As a student, I struggled a lot with the lab work, so I requested that my college install more labs because there were only 10 labs and they were very congested due to many students.
Multiple issues: use 'with' for 'struggled with the lab work.' 'Requested to my college' is incorrect; say 'requested that my college...' or 'asked my college to...'. Avoid unnecessary 'they should' repetition and use 'many students' rather than 'a lot of students' for formality; add 'only' to clarify limited number. Suggestion: use 'requested that' + base verb or 'asked ... to' and correct prepositions and quantifier choice.
× Right now I want to continue my higher studies.
✓ Right now I want to continue my higher studies.
This sentence is grammatically acceptable but slightly formal; alternatively 'I want to continue my studies' is more natural. No grammatical correction necessary under the provided list. Suggestion: consider 'continue my studies' for natural phrasing.
× I am planning to contemplating my PhD abroad.
✓ I am planning to pursue my PhD abroad.
This sentence incorrectly combines 'planning to' with 'contemplating.' After 'planning to' use the base infinitive 'pursue.' Alternatively, use 'contemplating pursuing' with the -ing form. Suggestion: choose one structure: 'planning to pursue' or 'contemplating pursuing.'
× I want to become a great scientist with a lot of research papers and the research work as well.
✓ I want to become a scientist with many research papers and significant research work.
Awkward phrasing: 'a great scientist with a lot of research papers and the research work as well' is repetitive and informal. Use 'many' with countable 'research papers' and replace 'the research work' with 'significant research work' or 'substantial research experience.' Suggestion: use precise nouns and avoid redundant phrasing.
