Bike— Part 1 採点レポート

提案: Answer directly, then explain how you got the bike. The meaning of “I have run by from my mom” and “my mom will cost a star for me” is unclear. Use the past tense consistently (for example, “I had” and “she gave”) and say “do housework” without “a.” Keep the answer to a few clear sentences.

例: Yes, I had a bike when I was a child. My mum asked me to do chores around the house, and she gave me a star each time I helped. After collecting enough stars, I got a bike as a reward.

提案: Give a clear answer first, such as “Yes, they’re quite popular.” Replace unclear phrases like “rally by bicycles” with “ride bicycles,” and explain your reason in complete sentences. Use a linking phrase such as “One reason is that…” and finish your thought rather than ending with “they want to.”

例: Yes, bicycles are fairly popular in my country. One reason is that people want to avoid adding to air pollution, especially in busy areas. They’re also a convenient way to get around for short trips, although the hot weather can make cycling less comfortable.

× I had to do a housework every day.

✓ I had to do housework every day.

Housework is an uncountable noun, so it does not take the indefinite article a. Use do housework, not do a housework.
