Bike— Part 1 採点レポート

提案: You repeated the examiner's question instead of answering. Give a direct response with a topic sentence, then add one or two specific supporting details using linking words. Keep it natural and under five sentences.

例: Yes, I did. I had a small red bicycle that my parents bought for my seventh birthday, and I used it to ride to a nearby park every afternoon. Because it was lightweight and had training wheels at first, I learned to balance quickly and felt very confident riding by the time I was eight.

提案: Your answer is direct but a bit short and general. Expand with a linking word and a specific reason or example to make it more informative and natural, while avoiding redundancy. Stay within five sentences.

例: Yes, bikes are quite popular in my country because they are an affordable and convenient way to commute. For example, many factory workers and office employees cycle to work to avoid traffic and save money on public transport. In addition, cities with bike lanes encourage more people to choose cycling for short trips.

× Yes, a lot of people use it as a means of transportation, especially workers.

✓ Yes, a lot of people use them as a means of transportation, especially workers.

The pronoun 'it' is singular but refers to 'bikes', which is plural; this is a pronoun number agreement error (related to singular/plural). Also 'a lot of people use them' ensures subject-verb agreement with a plural object. Suggestion: replace 'it' with 'them' when referring to plural nouns like 'bikes'.
