Bike— Part 1 Informe

Sugerencia: Answer with the past simple because the question is about your childhood. Use “bike,” not “abide,” and say “I didn’t have” to express a negative answer. You can add one brief reason or detail.

Ejemplo: No, I didn’t have a bike when I was a child. My family lived in a busy city, so I usually walked or took the bus.

Sugerencia: Your answer is direct, but match the plural subject “bikes” with “they are.” Add a specific reason or example to develop your response, such as how people use bikes for commuting or exercise.

Ejemplo: Yes, bikes are very popular in my country. Many people use them to commute because they are affordable and convenient, especially in busy cities.

× No, I have an abide when I am a child.

✓ No, I had a bike when I was a child.

The question asks about a childhood experience, so use the past tense: had instead of have and was instead of am. The context indicates that abide was intended to be bike.

× Yes, it is very popular in my country.

✓ Yes, they are very popular in my country.

The question refers to bikes, a plural noun, so use the plural pronoun they rather than it.

× Yes, it is very popular in my country.

✓ Yes, they are very popular in my country.

The plural subject they requires the plural verb are, not the singular verb is. Match the verb to the number of the subject.
