Bike— Part 1 Informe

Sugerencia: Answer the examiner’s question directly instead of repeating it. Because the question is about your childhood, use the past tense, “when you were a child,” rather than “when you have a child.” Add one specific detail, such as how often you rode your bike or where you used it.

Ejemplo: Yes, I had a bike when I was a child. I often rode it around my neighborhood after school, and I especially enjoyed cycling with my friends.

Sugerencia: Give your opinion directly rather than repeating the question. Use the plural noun “bikes” with “are,” or say “cycling is popular.” Support your opinion with a specific reason or example.

Ejemplo: Yes, I think bikes are quite popular in my country, especially in cities. They’re an affordable way to travel, and many people use them for short journeys or exercise.

× Did you have a bike when you have a child?

✓ Did you have a bike when you were a child?

The question refers to the past, so use the past-tense form were rather than the present-tense form have. Use were with you to describe being a child in the past.

× Do you think bike are popular in your country?

✓ Do you think bikes are popular in your country?

The sentence refers to bikes in general, so use the plural noun bikes. The plural noun also agrees with the plural verb are.
