Bike— Part 1 Informe

Sugerencia: Answer directly and use the past tense because you are talking about your childhood: say “I had,” not “I have.” Add one relevant detail, such as how you used the bike or where you rode it.

Ejemplo: Yes, I had a bike when I was a child. I often rode it around my neighborhood after school.

Sugerencia: Give a clear reason or example to support your opinion instead of repeating that you had a bike. Use a natural word order, such as “I also had,” and finish your thought rather than ending with “There is a.”

Ejemplo: Yes, bikes are quite popular in my country, especially among people who commute short distances. They’re affordable and convenient, and many children also ride them for fun.

× Yes, I have a bike when I was a child.

✓ Yes, I had a bike when I was a child.

The phrase when I was a child refers to a finished period in the past, so the verb should also be in the past tense. Use had instead of have.

× I had also a bike when I was a child.

✓ I also had a bike when I was a child.

Also usually appears before the main verb in this sentence. Place it before had: I also had a bike.

× There is a.

✓ There is a bike.

The sentence is incomplete because the article a needs a noun after it. Name the object to complete the sentence, for example, There is a bike.
