So I prefer bike because, uh, it is easier to drive, it's more fun to drive.

Part 1

Did you have a bike when you were a child?

Puntuación: 62.0

Sugerencia: Answer the question directly and avoid unnecessary hesitation and repetition. Use “ride a bike” rather than “drive a bike,” and say “I was scared” instead of “It was scared.” Also, use the correct article and plural form in “I love bikes” or say “I love my bike.” Organize the response more clearly by stating that the bike belonged to your father, explaining why you rarely rode it, and then briefly contrasting it with your current bike.

Ejemplo: Yes, I had access to a bike when I was a child, but it belonged to my father. I rarely rode it because I had not learned how to ride properly and was a little scared. However, I now own a high-performance bike, and I really enjoy cycling in my free time.

Do you think bikes are popular in your country?

Puntuación: 65.0

Sugerencia: Give a clear answer in the first sentence and support it with two specific reasons. Correct the grammar in “bikes are very popular,” “people ride bikes,” and “economic problems exist.” Avoid repeating “maybe” and “because,” and replace “in the most of the cities” with “in most cities.” You could also explain that bikes are affordable and convenient in heavy traffic, then briefly mention your personal preference.

Ejemplo: Yes, bikes are extremely popular in India, especially in large cities. Many people choose them because they are more affordable than cars and easier to use in heavy traffic. Personally, I prefer riding a bike because it is convenient, enjoyable, and allows me to get around more quickly.

Gramática

13: Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× It was so scared back then.

✓ I was so scared back then.

Scared describes a person who feels fear, while scary describes something that causes fear. The speaker is the person who felt afraid, so use I was so scared.

22: Article errors

× I love bike.

✓ I love my bike.

A singular countable noun such as bike usually needs a determiner. Use my because the speaker is referring to their own bike.

13: Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× Yup, it is very much popular in my country.

✓ Yes, bikes are very popular in my country.

Very popular is the natural expression; very much is not normally used before the adjective popular. The answer refers to bikes in general, so use the plural subject bikes and the plural verb are.

1: Singular and plural issue

× Most of the people here drive bike.

✓ Most people here ride bikes.

When speaking about bikes in general, use the plural noun bikes. Also, most people is the more natural expression because the is unnecessary before people in this general statement.

11: Incorrect use of prepositions

× Most of the people here drive bike.

✓ Most people here ride bikes.

The usual verb for using a bicycle is ride, not drive. We generally ride a bike but drive a car.

13: Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× Maybe it might be because of the economical problem exist here in India.

✓ Maybe it is because of the economic problems that exist in India.

Economic means related to the economy, whereas economical means inexpensive or cost-saving. Also, problems is the appropriate plural form when referring to general economic difficulties.

27: Subject-verb agreement errors

× Maybe it might be because of the economical problem exist here in India.

✓ Maybe it is because of the economic problems that exist in India.

The relative clause refers to plural problems, so the verb must be exist, not exists. The corrected sentence also uses the clearer structure problems that exist.

17: Incorrect use of the definite article

× The prevalent traffic in the most of the cities.

✓ The heavy traffic in most cities.

Do not use the before most cities when speaking about cities in general. The phrase most cities is correct; the most of the cities would refer to a specific group of cities.

13: Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× The prevalent traffic in the most of the cities.

✓ The heavy traffic in most cities.

Heavy traffic is the natural collocation for a large amount of traffic. Prevalent is grammatically possible but unnatural in this context.

22: Article errors

× So I prefer bike because it is easier to drive.

✓ So I prefer bikes because they are easier to ride.

When talking about bikes as a general means of transportation, use the plural noun bikes rather than singular bike without a determiner. The plural pronoun they agrees with bikes, and ride is the appropriate verb for bicycles.
