Do you think bikes are popular in your country?
Candidate
Tinkshoe, I don't think bikes are popular in Turkey. We just use public transformation more than we use bikes because it is not that easy to go around with bikes using them in the cities, but maybe it is a little bit popular in my city.
Did you have a bike when you were a child?
Score: 62.0Suggestion: Cevabınız soruya doğrudan cevap veriyor ve yaşınız ile bisikleti nerede kullandığınızı belirtmeniz iyi. Ancak “I did had” yerine “I did have” veya daha doğal olarak “Yes, I did” kullanılmalı. “my fresh bike” ifadesi doğal değil; “my first bike” demelisiniz. “I’m sorry for that” gibi gereksiz bir özür yerine emin olmadığınızı “I’m not exactly sure” şeklinde ifade edin. Son cümledeki “sea Rd.” ifadesi belirsiz; muhtemelen “a side road” veya “a road near the seaside” demek istediniz. Cevabı daha akıcı yapmak için “when” ve “because” gibi bağlaçlar kullanabilirsiniz.
Example: Yes, I did. My mom bought me my first bike when I was about seven, although I’m not exactly sure of my age. I used to ride it on the quiet roads around our neighborhood, especially at weekends.
Do you think bikes are popular in your country?
Score: 65.0Suggestion: Ana fikriniz açık ve bisiklet kullanımı ile toplu taşıma arasında mantıklı bir karşılaştırma yapmışsınız. Ancak “Tinkshoe” anlaşılır değil; muhtemelen “Actually” demek istediniz. “public transformation” yerine “public transportation” kullanılmalı. “it is not that easy to go around with bikes using them in the cities” ifadesi oldukça uzun ve doğal değil; bunun yerine “cycling around cities can be difficult because of heavy traffic and a lack of bike lanes” diyebilirsiniz. Son bölümde kendi şehrinizden daha spesifik bir örnek vererek cevabı geliştirin. Ayrıca “but” ile başlayan uzun cümleyi iki cümleye bölmek akıcılığı artırır.
Example: I don’t think bikes are very popular in Turkey. Most people rely on public transportation because cycling can be difficult in crowded cities, where there are often few bike lanes. However, bikes are becoming more popular in my city, especially among young people who use them for exercise and short journeys.
× I did had right when I was a child my mom bought my fresh bike.
✓ I did have a bike when I was a child. My mom bought me a new bike.
After the auxiliary did, the main verb must be in its base form, so had becomes have. The sentence also needs to be divided into two sentences because it contains two independent ideas.
× My mom bought my fresh bike.
✓ My mom bought me a new bike.
A singular countable noun such as bike usually needs an article when it is not preceded by a possessive determiner. The natural phrase is a new bike. The pronoun me is used because it identifies the person who received the bike.
× I did had right when I was a child my mom bought my fresh bike.
✓ I had a bike when I was a child. My mom bought me a new bike.
The original sentence joins two complete ideas without appropriate punctuation or a conjunction. Separating them makes the structure clear and grammatical.
× It is not that easy to go around with bikes using them in the cities.
✓ It is not that easy to travel around cities by bike.
By bike is the standard expression for describing transportation. The phrase travel around cities is also more natural than go around with bikes using them.
× It is not that easy to go around with bikes using them in the cities.
✓ It is not that easy to travel around cities by bike.
The original sentence contains unnecessary repetition because with bikes and using them express nearly the same idea. Removing the repetition produces a clearer sentence structure.
