Bike— Part 1 Report

Suggestion: 質問には直接答えられていますが、「bike」と「kid」を繰り返しているため、具体的な情報を1つ加えると、より自然で内容のある回答になります。例えば、いつ乗っていたか、どこで乗っていたか、何に使っていたかを述べましょう。「when I was a kid」は自然ですが、「when I was younger」も使えます。

Example: Yes, I had a bike when I was younger. I often rode it around my neighborhood after school, especially on sunny days.

Suggestion: 意見と理由を述べている点は良いですが、「it's」が何を指すのか曖昧で、「the cheapest vehicle」は言い切りが強く不自然です。「one of the cheapest ways to get around」などにすると自然です。また、通勤・通学や環境への配慮など、具体的な理由を追加し、becauseやalsoで内容をつなげるとより効果的です。

Example: Yes, bikes are quite popular in Japan because they are one of the cheapest ways to get around. Many people use them for short trips to train stations or local shops, and they are also environmentally friendly.

× Yes, bikes are popular in Japan because it's the cheapest vehicle.

✓ Yes, bikes are popular in Japan because they are cheap vehicles.

The pronoun 'it's' means 'it is' and refers to a singular noun. The subject 'bikes' is plural, so the correct pronoun is 'they,' followed by the plural verb 'are.'

× Yes, bikes are popular in Japan because it's the cheapest vehicle.

✓ Yes, bikes are popular in Japan because they are cheap vehicles.

The sentence refers to bikes in general, so the plural noun 'vehicles' is more appropriate than the singular noun 'vehicle.' Using 'cheap vehicles' also avoids the inaccurate meaning that all bikes are one single vehicle.
