Conversation

Part 1

Examiner

Did you like going to parks as a child?

Candidate

I Remember Me and my friends chasing each other around the parks for hours and hours after school, and my family would often go there for picnic. I think park is a great place to let out some extra energy and meet new friends. Since I'm pretty shy when I was little, meeting new friends can help me learn how to socialize. I've also made some fond memories there.

Examiner

Do you still like going to parks now?

Candidate

To be honest, not really. I don't go to Pakistan often anymore. First, it's because I'm more of an indoor person now, so I prefer some indoor activities such as hitting a gym or catching up a movie with friends. Moreover, is that umm? The parks near my home weren't that nice so I don't feel that motivated to go there anymore.

Examiner

Would you like to see more parks in your city?

Candidate

No, I don't think our city needs more parks versus because I barely go to parks myself so having more parks than I said it wouldn't make much difference. Second is because I think the government should prioritize other facilities like public transport or building more schools.

Examiner

Are there any parks you want to go to in the future?

Candidate

Yes absolutely. I love to visit some well known parks abroad such as the Central Park or the Yellowstone in USA. And I'm also really into anime so I hope I can visit some anime themed park in Japan. Since Japan is the birth place of anime, I hope I can also see some sakura along the way.

Evaluation

Overall

Overall: 6.0Fluency & Coherence: 6.0Pronunciation: 6.0Grammar: 5.5Lexical Resource: 6.0

Part 1

Did you like going to parks as a child?

Score: 72.0

Suggestion: 你的回答内容充实,但有语法、时态和表达不够自然的问题。应注意时态一致(谈童年用过去式)、避免冗余(如重复“hours and hours”)、首句正确定义话题句并控制句子数(最多五句)。同时注意冠词和复数(a park / parks)以及发音或拼写(记得大写与小写无关,但‘I Remember Me’不正确)。建议用一到两句主题句,然后一到两句具体细节,用连接词使逻辑更连贯。

Example: Yes, I loved going to parks as a child. My friends and I would chase each other around after school and my family often had picnics there. Because I was quite shy, parks helped me practice socializing and I made many fond memories.

Do you still like going to parks now?

Score: 64.0

Suggestion: 回答直接但有明显错误与不自然表达。首先拼写错误('Pakistan'应为 'parks'),口语填充词('umm')和语法时态需注意(use present tense descriptions). 避免冗长不连贯的句子,使用连接词(for example, moreover)更自然。建议减少犹豫语,清晰给出主要原因并补充一两个具体例子。

Example: Not really. I prefer indoor activities now, such as going to the gym or watching movies with friends. Also, the parks near my home are poorly maintained, so I rarely feel motivated to visit them.

Would you like to see more parks in your city?

Score: 70.0

Suggestion: 回答观点明确但表达不够简洁、存在语法和连词使用问题(例如 'versus' 用法错误,句子结构混乱)。应先给出简短主题句,然后用清晰的连词(for one, for another)列举理由,并用具体例子支持观点。避免否定句过多造成听者混淆。

Example: I don't think our city needs more parks. For one, I rarely use the existing parks, so adding more would not change much. For another, I believe the government should prioritize improvements to public transport and schools instead.

Are there any parks you want to go to in the future?

Score: 78.0

Suggestion: 回答积极并包含具体目标,但句子结构和用词可更自然。注意固定搭配('Central Park' 而不是 'the Central Park' 可视上下文)、国家前置词(in the USA)和避免冗余('the birth place' 可简化)。可用连接词(for example, besides)使内容更连贯,并加入一两句说明为什么想去这些公园。

Example: Yes, definitely. I'd love to visit famous parks abroad, such as Central Park and Yellowstone in the USA, because of their unique scenery and outdoor activities. I'm also interested in anime-themed parks in Japan, and it would be wonderful to see the cherry blossoms while I'm there.

Grammar

Sentence structure errors

× I Remember Me and my friends chasing each other around the parks for hours and hours after school, and my family would often go there for picnic.

✓ I remember my friends and me chasing each other around the park for hours after school, and my family would often go there for picnics.

错误类型:句子结构和大小写、代词、冠词及复数使用混合问题。 解释与改进建议: 1) “Remember”不应大写,句首只有第一个字母大写即可。2) ‘Me and my friends’ 的顺序不礼貌且语法上建议用‘my friends and me’,作宾语时用宾格“me”。3) 原句中缺少动词形式导致结构混乱,应为“I remember my friends and me chasing...”。4) “the parks”改为“the park”更符合上下文(泛指去公园作为单一场所),也可不加定冠词但常用单数。5) “for hours and hours”可简化为“for hours”;保留也可,但冗余。6) “for picnic”缺少冠词和名词复数,应为“for picnics”。 建议:保持动词时态一致,注意代词格(主格/宾格),使用恰当冠词并注意名词单复数。

Present tense issue

× Since I'm pretty shy when I was little, meeting new friends can help me learn how to socialize.

✓ Since I was pretty shy when I was little, meeting new friends could help me learn how to socialize.

错误类型:时态不一致。句子中“Since I'm pretty shy when I was little”混合了现在时和过去时,造成时间冲突。应保持过去时态描述过去的性格和结果,因此将主句改为过去时:"I was pretty shy...",并把结果用过去时态或情态过去(could)更自然。建议:描述过去经历时统一使用过去时。

Present perfect / past tense issue

× I've also made some fond memories there.

✓ I also made some fond memories there.

错误类型:现在完成/过去时混用。句子在叙述过去常做的事情时,用简单过去更恰当(I made),尤其上下文大多在讲过去经历。现在完成(I've made)用于与现在相关的经历,但这里更自然使用过去式。建议:叙述明确过去事件时使用过去时。

Incorrect use of proper noun / word error

× To be honest, not really. I don't go to Pakistan often anymore.

✓ To be honest, not really. I don't go to parks often anymore.

错误类型:单词错误(专有名词误写为国家名)。原句把“parks”误写为“Pakistan”(巴基斯坦),语义大相径庭。应修正为“parks”。建议:写作或口语时注意拼写与发音区别,核对专有名词。

Verb + -ing form

× so I prefer some indoor activities such as hitting a gym or catching up a movie with friends.

✓ so I prefer indoor activities such as going to the gym or catching up on a movie with friends.

错误类型:动词+ -ing形式与介词使用错误。 解释与建议:1) “hitting a gym”是不地道的表达,应使用“going to the gym”。2) “catching up a movie”缺少介词,应为“catching up on a movie”或更自然“watching a movie”。3) “some indoor activities”可简化为“indoor activities”。建议:学习常见搭配(go to the gym, catch up on something, watch a movie)。

Sentence structure errors

× Moreover, is that umm? The parks near my home weren't that nice so I don't feel that motivated to go there anymore.

✓ Moreover, the parks near my home weren't that nice, so I don't feel motivated to go there anymore.

错误类型:句子结构问题与时态不一致。 解释与建议:1) 删除口语填充词“is that umm?”以保持书面或正式表达的连贯性。2) 时态混合:描述过去事实用过去时(weren't),结果表达可以用现在时(I don't feel motivated...)但连接时注意逗号和连词,故将句子合并为一个更流畅的句子。建议:口语转写时去除非语言填充词,保持句子连贯。

Incorrect use of conjunction

× No, I don't think our city needs more parks versus because I barely go to parks myself so having more parks than I said it wouldn't make much difference.

✓ No, I don't think our city needs more parks because I barely go to parks myself, so having more wouldn't make much difference.

错误类型:连词和结构使用错误。 解释与建议:1) “versus”用法不当,应去掉。2) “having more parks than I said it wouldn't make much difference”结构混乱,多余“than I said it”。改为“so having more wouldn't make much difference”。3) 加入逗号分隔并保持句子流畅。建议:避免错误使用连接词,保持句子简洁,注意代词替代(having more = having more parks)。

Incorrect use of conjunction / sentence structure

× Second is because I think the government should prioritize other facilities like public transport or building more schools.

✓ Secondly, I think the government should prioritize other facilities like public transport or building more schools.

错误类型:连词与句子结构问题。 解释与建议:1) 将“Second is because”改为更自然的转折“Secondly,”或“As a second reason,”。2) 保持句子主语明确:不要以“is because”开头孤立出现。建议:使用序数连词(Firstly, Secondly)或完整从句来表达理由。

Article and proper noun usage

× I love to visit some well known parks abroad such as the Central Park or the Yellowstone in USA.

✓ I would love to visit some well-known parks abroad, such as Central Park or Yellowstone in the USA.

错误类型:冠词与专有名词使用不当。 解释与建议:1) “the Central Park”通常说“Central Park”(纽约的公园名不带定冠词)。2) “the Yellowstone”应为“Yellowstone”或“The Yellowstone National Park”,更自然是“Yellowstone”或“Yellowstone National Park”。3) 国家前加介词“in the USA”。4) “well known”需连字符“well-known”。5) 用“would love”更礼貌与符合愿望语气。建议:学习固定的地名用法及冠词习惯,注意连字符。

Article and vocabulary

× And I'm also really into anime so I hope I can visit some anime themed park in Japan.

✓ And I'm also really into anime, so I hope I can visit some anime-themed parks in Japan.

错误类型:冠词与名词复数、连字符使用错误。 解释与建议:1) “anime themed park”应加连字符“anime-themed”修饰名词。2) 若泛指多个公园应使用复数“parks”。3) 在“anime”与后句之间加逗号使句子更流畅。建议:注意复合形容词的连字符与名词单复数一致。

Incorrect use of articles and word choice

× Since Japan is the birth place of anime, I hope I can also see some sakura along the way.

✓ Since Japan is the birthplace of anime, I hope I can also see some sakura along the way.

错误类型:单词拼写(复合词)和搭配。 解释与建议:“birth place”应写作连写“birthplace”。其他部分语法正确。建议:注意常见名词的拼写形式(单词合并或分开)。
