Example: I learned to type when I was in primary school during weekly computer lessons. Students had regular tasks and timed exams to practise accuracy and speed, and I learned to type both Chinese characters and English text.

× I prefer typing than handwriting because I'm a teacher right now so I have a lot of documents I need to hand it in.
✓ I prefer typing to handwriting because I'm a teacher right now, so I have a lot of documents I need to hand in.
句中“prefer ... than ...”用法不正确,應該使用“prefer A to B”。另外“hand it in”中多餘的代词“it”应删除,正确为“hand in”。建议记住固定搭配“prefer A to B”,以及“hand in”是不及物短语,不需要加宾语代词。
× I would say typing on a computer is much more easier and faster and it's an efficient way for me to drop down the notes and hand in my documents.
✓ I would say typing on a computer is much easier and faster, and it's an efficient way for me to take notes and hand in my documents.
“much more easier”是冗余比较,正确形式为“much easier”或“more easy”(后者不常用)。“drop down the notes”用法不地道,應改为“take notes”。建议避免重复比较词(much + more),并使用常见表达“take notes”。
× My school provided me a desktop computer, so to be honest, I type on a desktop computer every day.
✓ My school provided me with a desktop computer, so to be honest, I type on a desktop computer every day.
动词“provide”在表达“提供某物给某人”时通常搭配介词“with”——“provide someone with something”或“provide something to someone”。
× I learned it when I was a primary student. We learned the skills through computer lessons. So every students they got a task and also exams on how to type correctly and fastly.
✓ I learned it when I was a primary school student. We learned the skills through computer lessons. So every student got a task and also exams on how to type correctly and quickly.
“primary student”更常见为“primary school student”。“every students they”有主谓重复并且“every”后应接单数名词,改为“every student got...”。“fastly”不是正确副词,應使用“quickly”。建议注意“every + 单数名词”结构,避免重复主语,并使用正确副词形式。
× I also learned how to type in Chinese and also in English. I think the skills is really capable.
✓ I also learned how to type in Chinese and in English. I think the skill is really good / I think my typing skills are really good.
× I improved my typing by typing every day so a lot of people said practice makes perfect and I really I totally agree with it because I got a lot of documents and also lesson preparation worksheets to do.
✓ I improve my typing by typing every day, so a lot of people say practice makes perfect and I totally agree with that because I have a lot of documents and lesson preparation worksheets to do.
“I improved”改为“I improve”或“I have improved”取决于语境;这里用一般现在时更自然。“a lot of people said”应改为“say”。“I really I totally agree”有重复,应删除其一。“I got a lot of”在口语中常见但正式写作中应改为“I have a lot of”。
× So once I type every day, I feel that my skills got better every day.
✓ So once I type every day, I feel that my skills get better every day.
句中“got better every day”使用了过去时,与“once I type every day”表示习惯性动作的现在时不一致。
