Well honestly, I don't think I exact exactly learned how to type. It's just kind of an easy thing to do. Like as long as you have a computer, a keyboard, like you know how to type. And also we have phones and everyday we type to reply messages on our phones. So I think I know how to type quite early.
Examiner
How do you improve your typing?
Candidate
Well, I don't practice typing on a keyboard like on purpose, but I have to type on keyboards almost every day, so I think it's kind of the daily practice that makes me quite excel at typing.
Do you prefer typing or handwriting?
Example: I prefer typing to handwriting because it's faster and makes editing and organizing notes much easier. For instance, in lectures I type on my iPad or MacBook so I can quickly record what the teacher says and later search keywords or rearrange points. This saves time and helps me review more effectively.
Do you type on a desktop or laptop keyboard every day?
Example: I usually type on my laptop for study and work. For example, I write essays every week, reply to emails daily, and draft content for my job, such as song lyrics or promotional texts. Using a laptop allows me to work comfortably and save my files in the cloud.
When did you learn how to type on a keyboard?
Score: 70.0Suggestion: 回答自然但略显笼统且重复(like, as long as, like you know)。
Example: I didn't have formal lessons; I learned to type gradually when I was a child. For example, I started using a computer at school and typing simple assignments, and later I practised daily by texting on my phone, which improved my speed early on.
How do you improve your typing?
避免模糊表达(like on purpose)。
Example: I improve my typing mainly through daily use rather than formal practice. For instance, I type essays and emails every day, and occasionally I use online typing tests to check my speed and accuracy, which helps me gradually get faster.
× For example, when I have to take the notes in a class I I usually type on my iPad or on my MacBook so that I can quickly record everything the teacher says.
✓ For example, when I have to take notes in class, I usually type on my iPad or my MacBook so that I can quickly record everything the teacher says.
原句中出现了“I I”的重复,且“the notes in a class”用法冗余,不自然。 同时在“iPad or my MacBook”前后一致性更好。
× Yeah, currently I type on my laptop almost every day for study or working purpose.
✓ Yeah, currently I type on my laptop almost every day for study or work purposes.
原句中“for study or working purpose”搭配不当,常见表达为“for study”或“for work”或“for work purposes”。
× Like I write essays every week and I also have to reply some emails or also like umm do some writing song for uh for my work every day.
✓ I write essays every week, and I also have to reply to some emails and do some songwriting for my work every day.
原句中“reply some emails”缺少介词“to”,且“do some writing song”不符合词序和词类,应改为“do some songwriting”或“write songs”。
× Well honestly, I don't think I exact exactly learned how to type.
✓ Well honestly, I don't think I exactly learned how to type.
× It's just kind of an easy thing to do.
✓ It's just kind of an easy thing to do.
× Like as long as you have a computer, a keyboard, like you know how to type.
✓ As long as you have a computer and a keyboard, you know how to type.
× And also we have phones and everyday we type to reply messages on our phones.
✓ We also have phones, and every day we type to reply to messages on them.
原句中“everyday”应为副词短语“every day”(两词),且“reply messages”缺少介词“to”。将“on our phones”可改为代词“on them”以避免重复。
× So I think I know how to type quite early.
✓ So I think I learned to type quite early.
原句“I know how to type quite early”时态和时间点不匹配,表示“很早就学会了”应使用完成/过去含义,如“learned to type quite early”。
× Well, I don't practice typing on a keyboard like on purpose, but I have to type on keyboards almost every day, so I think it's kind of the daily practice that makes me quite excel at typing.
✓ Well, I don't practice typing on a keyboard on purpose, but I have to type on keyboards almost every day, so I think it's the daily practice that has made me quite good at typing.
原句“on purpose”位置调整,并且“makes me quite excel at typing”搭配错误,应改为“has made me quite good at typing”或“made me good at typing”。
