Part 1

What is your favourite food?

Score: 62.0

Suggestion: Cải thiện: Rèn kỹ năng phát âm và ngữ pháp cơ bản, giảm tiếng ồ ừ (fillers) và sửa lỗi thì/mệnh đề. Hãy trả lời trực tiếp bằng câu chủ đề ngắn, sau đó thêm 1-2 câu chi tiết cụ thể (ví dụ món yêu thích, lý do, ví dụ kỷ niệm). Sử dụng liên từ đơn giản để nối ý (because, so, for example). Ví dụ cụ thể: nêu một món yêu thích trong gia đình và mô tả một lần mẹ nấu khiến bạn ấn tượng. Giữ tối đa 3-4 câu, tránh lặp từ.

Example: My favourite food is Italian cuisine, especially pizza and pasta. I love them because my mother cooks Italian dishes at home every week, and her homemade tomato sauce is particularly delicious. For example, last weekend she made lasagna for a family dinner, which reminded me why I enjoy Italian food so much.

What kind of food did you like when you were young?

Score: 54.0

Suggestion: Cải thiện: Sửa lỗi ngữ pháp và trật tự từ, tránh dùng từ sai (ví dụ 'shirt' thay vì 'share' hay thừa), loại bỏ filler 'well' và 'to be quite honest' nếu không cần. Nên bắt đầu bằng câu chủ đề rõ ràng (I liked...), rồi giải thích lý do cụ thể với linking word 'because' và đưa ví dụ ngắn. Chú ý động từ theo sau chủ ngữ và số nhiều/ít (temperature can be as high as...).

Example: When I was young, I liked cold foods, especially ice cream. I loved it because summers in my country are very hot—temperatures can reach 40°C—so ice cream helped me cool down. For example, my family often bought ice cream after school during summer holidays.

Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?

Score: 66.0

Suggestion: Cải thiện: Rèn cấu trúc câu rõ ràng và tránh lặp từ (e.g., 'different in different'). Bắt đầu với câu chủ đề ngắn (Yes, I do.), sau đó nêu hai ví dụ cụ thể cho mùa hè và mùa đông, dùng liên từ để nối ý (for example, in summer/in winter). Chú ý dùng danh từ phù hợp ('varied weather' thay vì 'various weather') và sửa ngữ pháp ('choose fruits' hoặc 'eat seasonal foods').

Example: Yes, I do. I eat seasonal foods depending on the weather: for example, in summer I prefer cold items like ice cream and watermelon, while in winter I eat hot dishes such as soups and spicy rice cakes. Eating seasonally helps me feel more comfortable and stay healthy.

Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?

Score: 58.0

Suggestion: Cải thiện: Sắp xếp ý theo cấu trúc: câu chủ đề nêu thay đổi hay không, rồi giải thích lý do bằng 1-2 câu rõ ràng. Sửa ngữ pháp (used to be keen on, now I prefer vegetarian food), dùng từ chính xác (beancurd hoặc tofu, 'low in fat' thay vì 'fat free' nếu không chắc), và nối ý bằng 'because' hoặc 'so'. Tránh cụm từ không chính xác như 'party to' hay 'more life'.

Example: Yes, my favourite food has changed. I used to love sweets like candy and smoothies, but now I prefer vegetarian foods such as tofu because they are low in fat and rich in nutrients. I changed my diet because I want to be healthier and have more energy.

Grammar

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× Well, in general, I would say that I am a passionate about Italian food and to be more specific, I would probably say that I am really keen on, uh, pizza and pasta.

✓ Well, in general, I would say that I am passionate about Italian food, and to be more specific, I am really keen on pizza and pasta.

The article 'a' should not be used before the adjective 'passionate' when followed directly by 'about'. The phrase 'I would probably say that I am really keen on' is wordy and has redundant modal verbs; simplifying to 'I am really keen on' is clearer. Suggestion: remove the unnecessary 'a' and redundant words to make the sentence natural and concise.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× And you know, uh, this is mainly because my mom, uh, is, uh, really love Italian so she always cook Italian cuisine at home.

✓ This is mainly because my mom really loves Italian food, so she always cooks Italian cuisine at home.

The verb 'love' must match the third-person singular subject 'my mom', so it should be 'loves' (third person singular). Also 'is really love' is ungrammatical; remove 'is'. 'Cook' should be 'cooks' for third-person singular. Use 'Italian food' rather than just 'Italian' for clarity.

Present tense issue

× A Well to be quite honest, in general I would say that I'm actually quite keen on some fresh food.

✓ Well, to be quite honest, I would say that I'm actually quite keen on fresh foods.

'Some fresh food' is awkward; 'fresh foods' or 'fresh food' without 'some' is more natural. Remove the stray initial 'A' and unnecessary words. Keep present tense 'I'm keen on' which matches the present preference.

Sentence structure errors

× To be more accurate I would probably have to say I'm really into ice cream because my country when in the summer month the temperature can has high as 40° so it quite uncomfortable if I don't have a fresh food like shirt at ice cream to eat.

✓ To be more specific, I'd say I'm really into ice cream because in my country, during the summer months, the temperature can be as high as 40°C, so it's quite uncomfortable if I don't have something refreshing like a scoop of ice cream to eat.

This sentence has multiple structure errors: incorrect word order ('my country when in the summer month'), wrong verb form 'can has' should be 'can be', missing subject for 'so it quite uncomfortable' (should be 'so it's quite uncomfortable'), and incorrect phrases 'fresh food like shirt at ice cream'. Replace with natural expressions: 'during the summer months', 'can be as high as', 'something refreshing like a scoop of ice cream'. These changes fix verb forms and clarify meaning.

Incorrect use of quantifiers

× Of course, I think that in my country they have a various weather, so in different in different time of the year, I would have to choose some fruit that is suitable for the weather.

✓ Of course, I think that in my country there is varied weather, so at different times of the year I choose fruits that are suitable for the weather.

'They have a various weather' is incorrect: use 'there is varied weather' or 'we have various kinds of weather'. 'In different in different time' is repetitive and should be 'at different times of the year'. 'Some fruit' can be plural 'fruits' when referring to different kinds. Also change 'I would have to choose' to present simple 'I choose' to reflect habitual action.

Verb + -ing form

× Like in summer I have to eat some fresh food like ice cream, but in the winter I have to eat some uh, hot like tteokbokki or soup.

✓ In summer I eat refreshing foods like ice cream, but in winter I eat hot dishes like tteokbokki or soup.

Use 'eat refreshing foods' instead of 'have to eat some fresh food' for naturalness. 'Some uh, hot like tteokbokki' is ungrammatical; use 'hot dishes like tteokbokki'. Keep parallel structure and correct noun forms.

Present tense issue

× In the past I really keen on some sweet food like candy or some smoothie but nowadays I am quite party to vegetarian food is better thing like beancurd because it is a fat free food and is high in nutrition value because I love to eat a healthier more life.

✓ In the past I was really keen on sweet foods like candy or smoothies, but nowadays I prefer vegetarian food, such as beancurd, because it is low in fat and high in nutritional value; I want to live a healthier life.

Tense and verb forms are incorrect: 'I really keen on' needs past tense 'I was really keen on'. 'Some smoothie' should be plural 'smoothies' or 'a smoothie'. 'I am quite party to' is meaningless; use 'I prefer'. 'is better thing like beancurd' is ungrammatical; rephrase to 'such as beancurd'. Use 'low in fat' and 'high in nutritional value' rather than 'fat free' unless accurate. 'I love to eat a healthier more life' should be 'I want to live a healthier life'. These changes fix tense, verb forms, and improve clarity.
