Grammar

Sentence structure errors

× Reading the great way to improve my knowledge and I have been reading books every day since I was a child.

✓ Reading is a great way to improve my knowledge, and I have been reading books every day since I was a child.

The sentence lacks the verb 'is' after 'Reading' and needs a comma before the coordinating conjunction 'and'. Add 'is' to complete the clause and use punctuation to join two independent clauses. Suggestion: include linking verbs and proper punctuation to form complete sentences.

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× Reading on the phone or tablet often change my eyes.

✓ Reading on the phone or tablet often strains my eyes.

The verb 'change' is incorrect here; 'strain' is the appropriate verb to describe discomfort to eyes. Also subject is plural 'Reading on the phone or tablet' treated as singular action requiring singular verb 'strains'. Suggestion: choose verbs that match the intended meaning and ensure subject-verb agreement.

Incorrect use of prepositions

× Well I prefer read on physical books rather than read on a screen because I'm just like I just mentioned, reading on physical books like papers E easy on my eyes R and reading on the phone or tablet will strain my eye.

✓ Well, I prefer reading physical books rather than reading on a screen because, as I mentioned, reading physical books like paper is easier on my eyes and reading on the phone or tablet will strain my eyes.

Problems: verb form ('prefer read' should be 'prefer reading'), preposition/word choice ('on physical books' -> 'reading physical books'), punctuation and filler words removed, 'papers E' looks like typos corrected to 'paper', 'easy' should be comparative 'easier', 'eye' should be plural 'eyes' to match 'my'. Suggestion: use gerund after 'prefer', choose correct noun forms, and maintain plural consistency.

Subject-verb agreement errors

× Well, I read carefully when I'm taking a test because the test often depend on the small details.

✓ Well, I read carefully when I'm taking a test because the tests often depend on small details.

Subject-verb agreement: 'the test' vs 'depend' mismatch. Either make both singular ('the test often depends on small details') or pluralize both. Also 'the small details' is better as 'small details' for natural phrasing. Suggestion: ensure subject number matches verb form and prefer natural collocations.

Incorrect use of articles

× I often also read article closely if the topic is important to my work or my study.

✓ I also often read articles closely if the topic is important to my work or my studies.

Errors: missing plural 'articles' to match general meaning, placement of 'also' for natural word order, and 'study' should be plural 'studies' when referring to one's academic work. Suggestion: use plural nouns for general statements and place adverbs where they sound natural.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× Also why I will use scheming skill to skip it to not to waste time to save time.

✓ Also, I use skimming skills to skip parts so I do not waste time.

Problems: 'why I will' is ungrammatical here; tense and word order fixed to present 'I use'. 'scheming' is wrong word; correct term is 'skimming'. 'skill' should be plural 'skills' and phrase 'to skip it to not to waste time to save time' is redundant and awkward. Suggestion: use correct vocabulary ('skimming'), simplify and avoid repetition, and use negative form 'do not' for clarity.

Incorrect use of quantifiers

× Well, I prefer detailed readings even though we are a little too tedious, but it helped me to understand the text more carefully and more specific.

✓ Well, I prefer detailed reading even though it can be a little tedious, but it helps me understand the text more thoroughly and more specifically.

Errors: 'detailed readings' should be 'detailed reading' (uncountable activity), 'we are' incorrect pronoun — should be 'it can be', 'too tedious' adjusted to 'a little tedious', verb tense agreement 'helped' -> 'helps', and adjective/adverb misuse 'more specific' -> 'more specifically' or 'more detailed'. Suggestion: match noun count, use correct pronouns, maintain present tense for habits, and use adverbs when modifying verbs.

Incorrect conjunction use

× Umm so I wouldn't meet it just like I scanning it for example when I read when I study an article for class, I read it slowly to remember the key point.

✓ Umm, so I wouldn't skim it; for example, when I study an article for class, I read it slowly to remember the key points.

Problems: 'wouldn't meet it' is incorrect; intended verb likely 'skim'. 'I scanning it' wrong form; use 'skim' or 'skim it'. Sentence run-on corrected with punctuation and clearer conjunctions. 'key point' pluralized to 'key points' for general meaning. Suggestion: use correct verb ('skim'), proper verb forms, and punctuation to separate examples and clauses.
