Part 1

Examiner

Do you make a list when you shop?

Candidate

Well, that's a great question. I don't normally make this when I do grocery shopping. Well, mainly because I'm that kind of person who just might buy something whenever it needs to be replenished. For example, umm, when I eat a box of milk, that's the time I only will be dropping by the nearest store to grab some. So yeah.

Examiner

Do you make a list for your work? Does it work?

Candidate

Well, sometimes I do make a list, however for the most part I don't umm, well, I can give you a time when I had to make a list of the things that I had I have to do, and that's when the end of the school year is umm, uh, fast approaching. Well.

Examiner

Why don't some people like making lists?

Candidate

Well, I guess we can break it down to two groups of people. Well, I for one doesn't like to make a list because I feel that is not something that my system would accept. Mainly for the reason that I'm very disorganized person. So I don't think, well, making a list would help me, uh, be able to be poor.

Examiner

Do you prefer to make a list on paper or your phone?

Candidate

Definitely tone, However, I do understand that some people would not want to prefer paper. However, in my case, what means umm, my thought is always with me. That's why I used to use all the things that I need well, and yeah, I don't it's the most convenient of listening all the things.

Grammar

Verb + -ing form

× I don't normally make this when I do grocery shopping.

I don't normally make one when I do grocery shopping.

The word 'this' is incorrectly used here; it should be 'one' to refer to 'a list'. Using 'make this' is incorrect because 'this' is a demonstrative pronoun and does not fit the context. The correct phrase is 'make one' to indicate making a list.

Modal verb usage

× that's the time I only will be dropping by the nearest store to grab some.

that's the time I will only be dropping by the nearest store to grab some.

The placement of the modal verb 'will' is incorrect. In English, 'will' should come before the adverb 'only'. The correct order is 'will only be dropping' to maintain proper modal verb usage.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× I for one doesn't like to make a list because I feel that is not something that my system would accept.

I for one don't like to make a list because I feel that it is not something that my system would accept.

The pronoun 'that' is vague and should be replaced with 'it' to refer clearly to 'making a list'. Also, 'doesn't' should be 'don't' to agree with the subject 'I'. This corrects pronoun usage and subject-verb agreement.

Subject-verb agreement errors

× I for one doesn't like to make a list because I feel that is not something that my system would accept.

I for one don't like to make a list because I feel that it is not something that my system would accept.

The subject 'I' requires the verb 'do not' contracted as 'don't' instead of 'doesn't'. This is a subject-verb agreement error that needs correction.

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× Mainly for the reason that I'm very disorganized person.

Mainly for the reason that I'm a very disorganized person.

The sentence is missing the indefinite article 'a' before 'very disorganized person'. Without the article, the sentence is grammatically incorrect. Adding 'a' correctly modifies the noun phrase.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× So I don't think, well, making a list would help me, uh, be able to be poor.

So I don't think, well, making a list would help me, uh, be able to be more organized.

The phrase 'be able to be poor' is illogical and likely a misstatement. It should be replaced with a phrase that makes sense in context, such as 'be able to be more organized'. This corrects the pronoun and meaning error.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× Definitely tone, However, I do understand that some people would not want to prefer paper.

Definitely phone. However, I do understand that some people would prefer paper.

The word 'tone' is a typo and should be 'phone'. Also, 'would not want to prefer paper' is incorrect; it should be 'would prefer paper'. This corrects pronoun and word choice errors.

Sentence structure errors

× However, in my case, what means umm, my thought is always with me.

However, in my case, what I mean is that my thoughts are always with me.

The original sentence is ungrammatical and unclear. Adding 'I mean' clarifies the subject and verb, and changing 'thought' to plural 'thoughts' fits the context better. This corrects sentence structure errors.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× That's why I used to use all the things that I need well, and yeah, I don't it's the most convenient of listening all the things.

That's why I use all the things that I need well, and yeah, I think it's the most convenient way of listing all the things.

The sentence has multiple errors: 'used to use' suggests past habit but context implies present; 'I don't it's' is incorrect and should be 'I think it's'; 'listening all the things' is incorrect and should be 'listing all the things'. These corrections fix pronoun use and verb tense.
