Yes, knowing our country's history is important, but it's crucial that we learn the truth. Recently, there's been more focus on showing not just the good parts of our history, like great victories, but also the dark parts. Thinking the past was always good is not realistic. For most people, it was hard, and that's why it's important to remember our history accurately.

Yes, I think we should know about our country's history, for sure, but we need to ensure what we learn is the truth. In the last decade or so, there has been a real drive to present not just the great victories, or golden eras of our history, but also about the darker side too. To look back with rose-tinted glasses and believe that the past was a lovely time to be alive is very shortsighted in my opinion. It was a tough time for the majority of the people then and this is why it's important to remember where we have come from.
