I don't think only famous directors can make the best movies. Sometimes, new directors have really creative ideas that surprise everyone. There are lots of examples where independent films by unknown directors have won big awards. Also, even famous directors sometimes make movies that aren't very good. I think what really matters is the director's talent and passion, not how famous they are.

Well-known directors do have some advantages. They usually have more experience and can get bigger budgets for their movies. They also attract famous actors, which helps make the movie more popular.
