How do you learn history?
考生
In Vietnam we tend to learn history through memorization, basically remembering all the facts about this historical figure and events. Then during exam day we would just dump everything that we know from memory onto the exam sheet.

What are the benefits of learning history?
考生
I think the main benefit of learning history is it allows us to not repeat the mistakes from the past. By learning how the history has navigated through difficulties, we can take on that. We use that as a foundation to further improve the way we approach problem. For instance, in diplomatic areas, Vietnam tends to. Of things through communication rather than through warfare. And that is a great advice that we all should adopt.

Do you think learning history is important?
考生
While history is important to ensure we don't repeat the same mistakes from the past, I think that history should not be the sole focus in every subject because it tends to be more psychological. So learning history, learning about historical events and figures for science related subjects might not be particularly useful. However, if you were to study something. Like social science related or international relations, then yes, it will be particularly useful.
Have you ever studied any history?
分數: 70.0建議: Câu trả lời cần rõ ràng hơn về thời điểm và dùng thì đúng. Nên tránh lỗi ngữ pháp (ví dụ: "I had studied" không phù hợp ở đây) và dùng câu ngắn gọn, trực tiếp. Thêm một câu giải thích ngắn gọn về lí do sẽ cải thiện cấu trúc. Hạn chế dài dòng và sự lặp lại.
範例: Yes, I studied history in high school, especially in grade 10. I stopped taking it during my later school years because it did not fit with the subjects I needed for university.
How do you learn history?
分數: 78.0建議: Nội dung tốt nhưng cần dùng kết nối hợp lý và từ vựng chính xác hơn. Tránh cụm từ không trang trọng như "dump everything"; dùng từ trung tính hơn. Thêm một ví dụ cụ thể (ví dụ một phương pháp học) sẽ làm câu trả lời có chiều sâu hơn.
範例: In Vietnam, history is usually learned by memorizing facts about events and historical figures. For example, students often use timelines and flashcards to remember dates and names, then recall them during exams.
What are the benefits of learning history?
分數: 60.0建議: Cần sửa ngữ pháp, câu chưa hoàn chỉnh và ý cần rõ ràng, mạch lạc hơn. Tránh câu bị ngắt quãng và dùng cấu trúc nối để giải thích lý do và nêu ví dụ rõ ràng. Nên đưa ra một hoặc hai luận điểm hỗ trợ với cấu trúc: topic sentence + reason + example.
範例: Learning history helps us avoid repeating past mistakes because it shows how previous leaders handled crises. For example, Vietnam has often relied on diplomacy instead of war, which teaches us that negotiation can be an effective strategy in international conflicts.
Do you think learning history is important?
分數: 65.0建議: Ý chính có nhưng diễn đạt lủng củng, có nhiều câu bị ngắt quãng và lựa chọn từ không chính xác ("psychological" không phù hợp). Cần dùng kết nối để so sánh và đưa ví dụ cụ thể về những ngành học phù hợp hoặc không phù hợp với lịch sử. Viết câu ngắn, rõ ràng hơn.
範例: I think history is important, but it should not dominate every field of study because its relevance varies. For instance, history is very useful for social sciences and international relations, but it may be less directly applicable to laboratory-based sciences like chemistry.
× I had studied history back in high school in grade 10, but in my junior and sophomore year I don't take history anymore because it doesn't align with the coursework that I'm taking for university.
✓ I studied history back in high school in grade 10, but in my junior and senior years I didn't take history anymore because it didn't align with the coursework I was taking for university.
The sentence mixes past perfect, present simple and contractions incorrectly. Use simple past for completed past events ('I studied'). Use 'junior and senior years' (not 'sophomore' after 'junior' in sequence) and simple past negative 'didn't take' to match timeframe. Use 'didn't align' and 'was taking' for consistent past narrative. Suggestion: keep tense consistent by using simple past when describing past school choices.
× In Vietnam we tend to learn history through memorization, basically remembering all the facts about this historical figure and events.
✓ In Vietnam we tend to learn history through memorization, basically remembering all the facts about historical figures and events.
Plural agreement and article usage: 'historical figure and events' mixes singular and plural; use plural 'figures' to match 'events'. Also omit 'this' which wrongly specifies. Suggestion: use parallel plural nouns when listing multiple items.
× Then during exam day we would just dump everything that we know from memory onto the exam sheet.
✓ Then on exam day we would just dump everything that we knew from memory onto the exam sheet.
Tense inconsistency: describing a habitual past practice should use past tense 'knew' rather than present 'know'. Also use 'on exam day' not 'during exam day'. Suggestion: maintain past tense for past habits and use correct preposition 'on' for days.
× I think the main benefit of learning history is it allows us to not repeat the mistakes from the past.
✓ I think the main benefit of learning history is that it allows us not to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Structure error: after 'is' use a clause 'that it allows...' and correct infinitive placement 'allows us not to repeat' instead of 'to not repeat' (stylistic) and 'mistakes of the past' is more natural. Suggestion: include 'that' after 'is' for clarity and place 'not' before 'to' or after 'allows' depending on style.
× By learning how the history has navigated through difficulties, we can take on that.
✓ By learning how history has navigated difficulties, we can take that on.
Pronoun reference and word order: 'the history' is unnatural; use 'history'. 'Take on that' word order is wrong in English; phrasal verb 'take on' should have object after, so 'take that on'. Suggestion: use natural noun 'history' and correct object placement for phrasal verbs.
× We use that as a foundation to further improve the way we approach problem.
✓ We use that as a foundation to further improve the way we approach problems.
Count noun error: 'problem' should be plural 'problems' when speaking generally. Suggestion: pluralize general nouns when referring to problems in general.
× For instance, in diplomatic areas, Vietnam tends to.
✓ For instance, in diplomatic areas, Vietnam tends to resolve things through communication rather than through warfare.
Sentence fragment: 'Vietnam tends to.' is incomplete; needs an infinitive or clause indicating what Vietnam tends to do. Suggestion: complete the sentence by adding the intended verb phrase, here 'resolve things through communication'.
× And that is a great advice that we all should adopt.
✓ And that is great advice that we should all adopt.
'Advice' is uncountable so omit 'a'. Also place 'all' after 'should' for natural word order. Suggestion: remove indefinite article with uncountable nouns and use natural adverb placement.
× While history is important to ensure we don't repeat the same mistakes from the past, I think that history should not be the sole focus in every subject because it tends to be more psychological.
✓ While history is important to ensure we don't repeat the same mistakes from the past, I think that it should not be the sole focus in every subject because it tends to be more theoretical.
Word choice and reference: 'it tends to be more psychological' is odd in this context; 'theoretical' or 'contextual' fits better. Also 'history' repeated is redundant; use 'it' to avoid repetition. Suggestion: choose appropriate adjective and use pronoun to avoid repetition.
× So learning history, learning about historical events and figures for science related subjects might not be particularly useful.
✓ So learning history or learning about historical events and figures for science-related subjects might not be particularly useful.
Punctuation and modifier use: need 'or' to connect alternatives and hyphenate compound adjective 'science-related'. Suggestion: use 'or' for alternatives and hyphenate compound adjectives.
× However, if you were to study something. Like social science related or international relations, then yes, it will be particularly useful.
✓ However, if you were to study something like social sciences or international relations, then yes, it would be particularly useful.
Fragmentation and tense consistency: 'If you were to study something. Like...' creates a fragment; combine into one sentence. Use 'social sciences' (plural) and conditional 'would' for hypothetical. Suggestion: combine fragments, use correct plural and conditional verb form.
