What is your favourite food?
考生
My favorite food is bread and tea. I love this food because it's quite easy to prepare. It doesn't take much of your time and it's something you can eat quickly. For example, if I'm off to work, I don't have to start getting having to put my phone in microwave or I just prepare my tea and my bread and I eat and I'm good to go for the day. So that's why it's my favorite.

What kind of food did you like when you were young?
考生
The food I like during my childhood was igosi soup and fufu. I liked it because my grandmother used to prepare it for me whenever I go to the village and I really loved her cooking. She's late got better so I really loved her cooking and it reminds me of my culture. It draws me back to my roots, so that's why I liked it growing up.

Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
考生
Yes, I do eat different foods at different times of the year. Because most foods in my country are seasonal. There are some that you don't get to see all the time, so I try as much as possible to eat them whenever they are available. Take for example corn. Corn it's not available all through the year, but once it's out I make sure to eat it before it goes.

Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?
考生
My favorite food has changed since I was a child because growing up I have tried to learn how to minimize my time. Because I work and preparing my preparing negotiation takes a long time. But tea is something that's very easy to prepare. So instead of having to take my time preparing that, I just quickly ignite tea and I move out except on things that I prepare it and keep against for the weekday.

Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
分數: 78.0建議: Combine short fragments into smooth sentences, remove redundancy, and use linking words for coherence. Provide one clear example and a brief explanation of why you eat seasonally.
範例: Yes, I eat different foods seasonally because many fruits and vegetables are only available at certain times. For example, sweet corn is a seasonal favourite, so I buy and eat it as soon as it’s in season.
Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?
分數: 60.0建議: Clarify your meaning and correct confusing phrases. Start with a direct statement about change, explain the reason briefly and logically, and avoid unclear words like 'negotiation' or 'ignite tea'. Use one clear example of what you now prefer and why.
範例: Yes, my favourite has changed. As an adult with a busy job, I prefer quick options like bread and tea because they take only a few minutes to prepare, unlike traditional meals that require a long time to cook.
× For example, if I'm off to work, I don't have to start getting having to put my phone in microwave or I just prepare my tea and my bread and I eat and I'm good to go for the day.
✓ For example, if I'm off to work, I don't have to start getting ready or heating food in the microwave; I just prepare my tea and my bread, eat, and I'm good to go for the day.
The original sentence misuses pronouns and contains duplicated verbs ('start getting having to') and an incorrect reference to 'put my phone in microwave' which likely intended 'heat food in the microwave'. Correcting the pronoun/reference and removing redundant verbs makes the sentence clear and coherent. Suggestion: replace unclear pronoun/object with the correct noun and use a simple verb sequence (get ready / heat food).
× The food I like during my childhood was igosi soup and fufu.
✓ The food I liked during my childhood was igosi soup and fufu.
The sentence mixes present tense 'like' with the past time phrase 'during my childhood'. Use past tense 'liked' to match the time frame. Suggestion: ensure verb tense matches the temporal context (past -> liked).
× I liked it because my grandmother used to prepare it for me whenever I go to the village and I really loved her cooking.
✓ I liked it because my grandmother used to prepare it for me whenever I went to the village, and I really loved her cooking.
The clause 'whenever I go to the village' uses present tense while the main clause is past ('used to prepare', 'liked'). Change 'go' to past 'went' to maintain consistent past narration. Suggestion: keep all verbs in the same past timeframe when describing past habits.
× She's late got better so I really loved her cooking and it reminds me of my culture.
✓ She has passed away, which made me appreciate her cooking even more; it reminds me of my culture.
The original 'She's late got better' is ungrammatical and unclear. Likely intended meaning: she is deceased. Use 'she has passed away' or 'she is late' and restructure sentence for clarity. Also adjust tense: 'reminds' can stay present because memories still remind the speaker. Suggestion: use standard expressions for death and join ideas with clear connectors.
× It draws me back to my roots, so that's why I liked it growing up.
✓ It draws me back to my roots, so that's why I liked it growing up.
This sentence mixes present 'draws' and past 'liked', but this is acceptable because the soup currently evokes memories (present) and the preference was in the past. No grammatical correction needed; maintain as is. Suggestion: if desired, make both clauses past for consistency: 'It drew me back to my roots, so that's why I liked it growing up.'
× Yes, I do eat different foods at different times of the year. Because most foods in my country are seasonal.
✓ Yes, I do eat different foods at different times of the year because most foods in my country are seasonal.
The second fragment 'Because most foods...' is a sentence fragment lacking connection to the main clause. Combine into one sentence; no tense change necessary. Suggestion: avoid starting a sentence with 'Because' without attaching it to an independent clause.
× Take for example corn. Corn it's not available all through the year, but once it's out I make sure to eat it before it goes.
✓ Take, for example, corn. Corn is not available all year round, but once it's in season I make sure to eat it before it's gone.
'Corn it's not' incorrectly inserts pronoun 'it's' after the subject; remove contraction and use 'is' properly. 'All through the year' is non-idiomatic; use 'all year round'. 'Once it's out' is vague; 'in season' is clearer. 'Before it goes' should be 'before it's gone'. Suggestion: avoid redundant pronouns after noun subjects and use standard idioms for availability.
× My favorite food has changed since I was a child because growing up I have tried to learn how to minimize my time.
✓ My favorite food has changed since I was a child because, as I grew up, I tried to learn how to save time.
Mixes present perfect 'has changed' (OK) with present perfect 'have tried' awkwardly while narrating past habit. Better to use simple past 'tried' and 'as I grew up' for clarity. Also 'minimize my time' is unnatural; use 'save time'. Suggestion: align tense and use natural collocations.
× Because I work and preparing my preparing negotiation takes a long time.
✓ Because I work and preparing meals takes a long time.
This fragment has repetition ('preparing my preparing negotiation') and an incorrect noun 'negotiation' likely intended as 'breakfast' or 'meal preparation'. Replace with 'preparing meals' and attach to the previous sentence to avoid a fragment. Suggestion: use clear nouns and remove duplicated words.
× So instead of having to take my time preparing that, I just quickly ignite tea and I move out except on things that I prepare it and keep against for the weekday.
✓ So instead of spending a lot of time preparing it, I quickly make tea and leave, except on days when I prepare food in advance for the weekdays.
'Ignite tea' is incorrect collocation; use 'make tea'. 'Having to take my time preparing that' is wordy; 'spending a lot of time preparing it' is clearer. The latter clause is ungrammatical; rephrase to 'except on days when I prepare food in advance'. Suggestion: use natural verb phrases (make tea) and clear time expressions (days when, in advance).
