× I definitely prefer typing over writing because when I type I can store my data in a soft copy and nowadays soft copies are easier to handle than hard copies.
✓ I definitely prefer typing to handwriting because when I type I can store my data in a soft copy, and nowadays soft copies are easier to handle than hard copies.
Use 'prefer A to B' not 'prefer A over B' (article/type usage). 'Handwriting' is more idiomatic than 'writing' here. Added a comma before the conjunction for clarity.
× Like hard copies get damage a lot so that's why.
✓ Hard copies get damaged a lot, so that is why I prefer soft copies.
Original is fragmented and missing passive form 'damaged'. Rewrote to form a complete sentence with correct passive verb and clear reference to preference.
× I type on both but I prefer to type on laptop because it is easy to carry at different places while desktop are mostly available in home or in college.
✓ I type on both, but I prefer to type on a laptop because it is easy to carry to different places, while desktops are mostly available at home or at college.
Singular/plural and article errors: use 'a laptop' (article) and 'desktops' (plural) to match 'both' context. Use 'at home' and 'at college' prepositions and 'carry to different places' is more natural.
× So that's why I prefer laptop because I can use it while I.
✓ So that's why I prefer a laptop, because I can use it while I am traveling or when I am away from home.
Original sentence is incomplete ('while I' is unfinished). Completed the sentence with plausible intended meaning and corrected article 'a laptop' and added appropriate clause with present continuous to match context.
× I learned it in my childhood at school.
✓ I learned it during my childhood at school.
'During my childhood' is more natural than 'in my childhood'. Tense 'learned' is correct past tense for a completed action.
× In my computer class, there was a specific class for computer where I first saw the computer and learned how to type on keyboard.
✓ In my computer class, there was a specific lesson about computers where I first saw a computer and learned how to type on a keyboard.
Use 'a specific lesson' and 'a computer' (articles), and 'on a keyboard' requires the article. 'Lesson about computers' is clearer than 'class for computer'.
× I improve my typing mainly by practicing.
✓ I improve my typing mainly by practicing.
Sentence is grammatically correct: present simple used for habitual action. No change needed.
× I try to write different kinds of paragraphs and essays which are also useful for improving my English.
✓ I try writing different kinds of paragraphs and essays, which are also useful for improving my English.
Both 'try to write' and 'try writing' can be correct, but 'try writing' is more natural when referring to a method for improvement. Added a comma before the non-restrictive relative clause.
× So two things I can improve at same time, that is typing and my English writing.
✓ So I can improve two things at the same time: my typing and my English writing.
Original word order is awkward. Reordered to a natural English structure, added 'the'/'my' and punctuation to clarify the list and use of 'the same time'.
× So I prefer to improve it by practicing.
✓ So I prefer to improve my typing by practicing.
Clarified the pronoun 'it' to 'my typing' for clarity. The form and tense are otherwise correct.
