I'd like to talk about a friend of mine who started a successful import-export business.
My friend's name is Quynh, and we were classmates together when we were doing our bachelor's degree in business, at a university in Shanghai. To be honest, I mainly went there because my parents wanted me to, but Quynh was really enthusiastic about business from the first day of the course. Even then, she had definitely found her calling in life, and it was inspiring to see her engaging with all of the material and clearly enjoying herself in the process. After class, we would always study together in the library, and I guess a bit of her enthusiasm must have rubbed off on me because I ended up getting pretty good grades. We were in the same class throughout our 3 years at university and graduated together.
Once she left university, Quynh started a business importing and exporting groceries. At first, her clients were small local stores, but over time her business grew to include some of the major supermarket chains in our country. I believe that the secret to her success is that she works harder, and still shows more enthusiasm for her work, than anyone else I know. As a result, she has also managed to build connections with companies around the world which help her supply her customers in the best possible way.
I think she is amazing, and everyone could learn a thing or two from her.
