Learning a new language
What the ambition is
I'm going to talk about my ambition to become fluent in Spanish. I've always been fascinated by languages and Spanish, in particular, has always intrigued me due to its widespread use and beautiful sound.
How long you have had this ambition
I've had this ambition for about five years now. It all started when I went on a trip to Spain and was captivated by the culture, the people, and the language. Since then, I've wanted to be able to communicate fluently in Spanish and immerse myself more deeply in the culture.
Why you haven’t achieved it yet
There are a few reasons why I haven't achieved this ambition yet. Firstly, my schedule is quite hectic with work and other commitments, which leaves me with limited time to dedicate to language learning. Secondly, I sometimes struggle with maintaining motivation and consistency in my studies. Although I've taken some classes and used language apps, I haven't been able to practice regularly enough to reach fluency.
And explain how you feel about this ambition
Despite not having achieved it yet, I still feel very passionate about this ambition. I believe that learning Spanish would open up new opportunities for me, both personally and professionally. It would allow me to connect with a wider range of people and cultures, and perhaps even travel more extensively in Spanish-speaking countries. Although it can be frustrating at times, I remain optimistic and determined to keep working towards this goal. I know that with persistence and dedication, I will eventually achieve fluency in Spanish, and that thought keeps me motivated to continue my efforts.
