Absolutely, just one of my favorite activities to do ever since I was a child because I find it really therapeutic and helps me relax. Actually, it was my grandfather who introduced me to the world of reading and ever since then I enjoyed reading more than anything else. Recently I'm reading a book by Arundhati Roy.

Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
수험생
I undoubtedly enjoy reading paper books because there is something about feeling a book, flipping the pages and even smelling it, so it is really tangible. That's the main reason why I enjoy paper books. However, when some books are really expensive, I have a tendency to read ebooks and it is really convenient too.

When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
수험생
I strongly believe that careful reading is necessary, especially when you are doing your academic work and which need a lot of research or preparing your project. Casual reading is when you read a magazine or an article which is just for leisure. That said, reading is always relaxing at the same time. Reading care.

Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
수험생
Definitely detailed reading as I'm a detail oriented person. Whether I'm reading an academic article or even a storybook, I make sure that I read line by line. If there is something that I don't understand, I do refer dictionary so I get more clarity about whatever I'm reading and I think it really helps you in numerous ways.
Do you like reading?
점수: 82.0제안: Your answer is natural, fluent and gives personal detail, which is good. To improve, shorten slightly to avoid redundancy, use a clear topic sentence, and vary verb tenses consistently. Also add one specific example (title or reason) to make it more concrete. Keep answers under five sentences.
예시: Yes, I love reading because it relaxes me and sparks my imagination. My grandfather introduced me to reading when I was a child, so it has been a lifelong habit. For example, I am currently reading The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, which I enjoy for its vivid characters and language.
Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
점수: 88.0제안: This answer is clear, balanced and uses good vocabulary. To improve further, tighten the phrasing to one strong topic sentence followed by a concise contrast using a linking word (e.g., however). Include a brief example of when you choose ebooks to show real-life decision-making.
예시: I prefer paper books because I enjoy the physical feel of turning pages and the sensory experience. However, if a book is expensive or hard to find, I usually buy the ebook version because it is cheaper and more convenient.
When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
점수: 70.0제안: Your response covers the main idea but has grammatical errors and some unclear phrasing (e.g., “which need,” “Reading care”). Improve by using a clear topic sentence, correcting grammar, and providing one specific example of academic reading versus casual reading. Avoid adding extra unrelated comment at the end.
예시: Careful reading is essential for academic work, such as when I review research papers for a project because I must understand details and evidence. In contrast, I read magazines or light articles casually for entertainment, skimming rather than analysing deeply.
Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
점수: 84.0제안: Good clear preference and explanation with personal habit and reason. Improve by using more natural phrasing (e.g., “I refer to a dictionary”), adding a linking phrase (therefore/for example), and including a concrete benefit or short example of how detailed reading helped you.
예시: I prefer detailed reading because I am detail-oriented and like to understand material thoroughly. For example, when I study an academic article I read it line by line and consult a dictionary if I encounter unfamiliar words, which helps me remember key points and use them in my assignments.
× Absolutely, just one of my favorite activities to do ever since I was a child because I find it really therapeutic and helps me relax.
✓ Absolutely, reading has been one of my favorite activities ever since I was a child because I find it really therapeutic and it helps me relax.
Original sentence lacks a clear main verb and subject for the first clause ('just one of my favorite activities to do' is a fragment). Adding 'reading has been' supplies a subject and verb and makes the sentence complete. Also add 'it' before 'helps' for parallel structure and clarity.
× Actually, it was my grandfather who introduced me to the world of reading and ever since then I enjoyed reading more than anything else.
✓ Actually, it was my grandfather who introduced me to the world of reading and ever since then I have enjoyed reading more than anything else.
The clause 'ever since then' requires a present perfect tense to show an action that started in the past and continues to the present. 'I enjoyed' (simple past) incorrectly suggests the enjoyment ended in the past. Use 'have enjoyed' to indicate continuity.
× Recently I'm reading a book by Arundhati Roy.
✓ Recently I've been reading a book by Arundhati Roy.
When referring to an action that started recently and is still in progress, the present perfect continuous ('have been reading') is more appropriate than simple present progressive. 'Recently I'm reading' is nonstandard; 'I've been reading' indicates ongoing recent activity.
× I undoubtedly enjoy reading paper books because there is something about feeling a book, flipping the pages and even smelling it, so it is really tangible.
✓ I undoubtedly enjoy reading paper books because there is something about feeling a book, flipping the pages and even smelling it; it is really tangible.
The original sentence is long and uses 'so' awkwardly to link clauses. Replacing 'so' with a semicolon or 'and' improves clarity. Grammatically this was more of punctuation/flow than a strict article error; still ensure definite/indefinite articles are correct ('a book' is fine). The main fix is joining clauses properly.
× However, when some books are really expensive, I have a tendency to read ebooks and it is really convenient too.
✓ However, when some books are really expensive, I tend to read ebooks because they are much more convenient.
'I have a tendency to' is wordy; 'I tend to' is more natural. Also 'it is really convenient too' is vague and has unclear reference; replace with 'they are much more convenient' to refer clearly to ebooks.
× I strongly believe that careful reading is necessary, especially when you are doing your academic work and which need a lot of research or preparing your project.
✓ I strongly believe that careful reading is necessary, especially when you are doing academic work that needs a lot of research or when you are preparing a project.
Original mixes clauses incorrectly ('and which need' is ungrammatical). Use 'that needs' to modify 'academic work' and repeat 'when' to introduce the parallel idea 'preparing a project'. Ensure subject-verb agreement: 'work that needs' not 'work ... need'.
× Casual reading is when you read a magazine or an article which is just for leisure.
✓ Casual reading is when you read a magazine or an article that is just for leisure.
Use 'that' rather than 'which' for restrictive relative clauses in this context. 'Which' typically introduces nonrestrictive clauses (often with commas). 'That is just for leisure' correctly restricts the meaning.
× That said, reading is always relaxing at the same time.
✓ That said, reading is always relaxing.
'Always' and 'at the same time' together are redundant. Simplify to 'always relaxing' for clarity and naturalness.
× Reading care.
✓ Careful reading is important.
'Reading care' is a fragment and not a grammatical sentence. Replace with a complete sentence like 'Careful reading is important' to convey intended meaning.
× Definitely detailed reading as I'm a detail oriented person.
✓ I definitely prefer detailed reading because I'm a detail-oriented person.
Original is a fragment missing a main verb. Add 'I prefer' to form a complete sentence. Also hyphenate 'detail-oriented' as a compound adjective and include 'because' to link reasons.
× Whether I'm reading an academic article or even a storybook, I make sure that I read line by line.
✓ Whether I'm reading an academic article or a storybook, I make sure that I read line by line.
The word 'even' is unnecessary and slightly awkward here. Removing it yields a clearer, more natural sentence. Article use ('an academic article' and 'a storybook') is correct.
× If there is something that I don't understand, I do refer dictionary so I get more clarity about whatever I'm reading and I think it really helps you in numerous ways.
✓ If there is something I don't understand, I consult a dictionary so I can gain more clarity about what I'm reading, and I think it really helps in many ways.
Several issues: 'do refer dictionary' is ungrammatical—use 'consult a dictionary' or 'refer to a dictionary.' Add 'can' to indicate purpose/result ('so I can gain'). 'Whatever I'm reading' is better as 'what I'm reading.' Replace 'you' with 'it' or remove to keep the sentence about the speaker. 'Numerous ways' is correct but 'many ways' is more natural.
