Where you go
One short trip that I often take but honestly do not enjoy is my weekly visit to the local supermarket. The supermarket is only about fifteen minutes away from my apartment, located in a busy commercial area of the city. Although it’s not far, the journey always feels much longer because of the heavy traffic and the crowded streets, especially during the weekends. I usually go to a large chain supermarket because it has a wide variety of products and is the most convenient option for my household shopping.
When you go there
I usually make this trip every Saturday morning. The reason I choose this time is that my work schedule during the week is quite hectic, so weekends are the only time I can do my grocery shopping. However, this is also the time when most people in my neighborhood decide to shop, so the supermarket is always packed with customers. Sometimes, if I have other plans on Saturday, I might go on Sunday, but it’s just as crowded, if not worse.
Who you go there with
Most of the time, I go to the supermarket with my mother. We usually make a list of things we need for the week and try to get everything in one trip. Occasionally, my younger brother tags along, but he usually gets bored quickly and complains, which makes the trip even less enjoyable. My mother and I try to divide the shopping list to finish faster, but we still end up spending a lot of time there.
Why you go there
The main reason I have to make this trip is to buy groceries and household essentials for my family. Since we all have busy schedules, it’s more efficient to do all the shopping at once rather than making several small trips throughout the week. We stock up on fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, and other necessities. Sometimes, we also buy cleaning supplies or personal care products.
And explain why you do not like the trip
To be honest, I really dislike this trip for several reasons. Firstly, the supermarket is always overcrowded, which makes moving around with a shopping cart quite difficult. The long lines at the checkout counters are another source of frustration, as we often have to wait for twenty or thirty minutes just to pay. Additionally, the noise and chaos inside the store can be overwhelming, especially after a tiring week. I also find it stressful to remember everything on the shopping list and make sure we don’t forget anything important. Overall, although this trip is necessary, I find it exhausting and would much prefer to shop online or have groceries delivered if that were an option. Unfortunately, for now, this weekly supermarket trip is something I have to put up with, even though I don’t enjoy it at all.

誰と行くか
ほとんどの場合、私は母と一緒にスーパーマーケットに行きます。私たちは通常、その週に必要なもののリストを作り、一回の買い物で全部揃えようとします。時々弟も一緒に来ますが、すぐに退屈して文句を言い出すので、さらに楽しめなくなります。母と私は買い物リストを分担して早く終わらせようとしますが、それでもかなりの時間を店内で過ごしてしまいます。
なぜ行くか
このお出かけをしなければならない主な理由は、家族のために食料品や生活必需品を買うためです。私たちは皆忙しいスケジュールを持っているので、一度にまとめて買い物をする方が、一週間の間に何度も小分けにして行くより効率的です。新鮮な野菜や果物、肉、その他必要なものをストックします。時には掃除用品や日用品も購入します。
そしてなぜこのお出かけが好きではないか説明する
正直なところ、このお出かけは様々な理由でとても嫌いです。まず第一に、スーパーマーケットはいつも混雑していて、ショッピングカートを押しながら動くのがかなり大変です。レジの長い列もイライラの原因で、支払いをするのに20分や30分待つこともよくあります。さらに、店内の騒音や混乱は特に疲れた一週間の後では圧倒されることがあります。買い物リストを全部覚えて忘れ物がないようにするのもストレスです。全体的に、このお出かけは必要ですが、とても疲れるもので、もし可能ならオンラインで買い物をしたり配達してもらったりしたいと思います。残念ながら今のところ、この毎週のスーパーマーケットへの買い物は楽しめないけれど我慢しなければならないことです。
