Who he/she is
I'm going to talk about my friend, Maria, who I met during my university exchange program. She's one of the most interesting people I've ever met and has become a close friend over the years.
Where he/she is from
Maria is from Spain, specifically from a small town near Barcelona. Her cultural background is quite different from mine, which makes our friendship all the more fascinating and enriching.
Where/how you knew him/her
I first met Maria during an international student orientation event at my university. We were both new to the city and were looking to make friends. We ended up sitting next to each other during a group activity and quickly hit it off. We discovered that we shared similar interests in music and art, which gave us plenty to talk about.
And explain how you feel about him/her
Spending time with Maria is always a joy. Her perspective on life is refreshing, and I love hearing about her experiences growing up in Spain. She's incredibly open-minded and curious, which makes our conversations engaging and insightful. I feel that I've learned a lot from her about Spanish culture, including their traditions, cuisine, and festivals. Her stories about the vibrant celebrations during La Tomatina and the Running of the Bulls are particularly captivating.
Moreover, Maria has a great sense of humor and a positive outlook on life, which is infectious. She has taught me to appreciate the little things and to approach challenges with a smile. I feel grateful to have her in my life, as she has broadened my horizons and enriched my understanding of the world.
