Why do some people wear expensive watches?
Candidato
I mean it's more like a social token right? If you are wearing a Rolex people will immediately know you are rich. Another thing is I remember 1. I saw it somewhere that rich people buy their watches or jewelry with them and run away. Like it's easier than carrying cash and you don't.

Do you think it is important to wear a watch? Why?
Candidato
I don't think it's important to wear a watch anymore. At least for my generation, nobody really loves a watch anymore. Like I mentioned earlier, we use our phone to check the time. If anybody wears a watch, it's mostly just for a better outfit or just to show off that they're able to buy a very expensive watch. So it's not that important anymore.
Do you wear a watch?
Ejemplo: I don't usually wear a watch because I use my smartphone to check the time. However, some people prefer smartwatches for notifications and convenience.
Have you ever got a watch as a gift?
Ejemplo: Yes. When I was a child I asked my mother for a large, colourful Buckley Castle watch that was very popular then. She gave me a white one for my birthday and I wore it every day because I thought it looked cool.
Why do some people wear expensive watches?
Puntuación: 60.0Sugerencia: 观点明确但表达混乱,有口语化开场(I mean)、不完整句子和不清楚的例证(‘buy their watches or jewelry with them and run away’)。
Ejemplo: Many people buy expensive watches as a status symbol because brands like Rolex are associated with wealth. Additionally, high-end watches can be seen as investments since some models hold their value or even appreciate.
Do you think it is important to wear a watch? Why?
Puntuación: 72.0Sugerencia: 回答立场明确并重复了先前观点,但有冗余表达(nobody really loves a watch anymore; So it's not that important anymore)和口语填充词。
Ejemplo: I don't think wearing a watch is necessary today because most people check the time on their phones. Some people still wear watches as fashion accessories or status symbols, but for everyday practical use a watch isn't essential.
× I guess most people wear wear a smart watch but not a traditional like mechanical one 'cause now we just look at our phones to check the time.
✓ I guess most people wear a smartwatch but not a traditional mechanical one, 'cause now we just look at our phones to check the time.
并且“smart watch”通常写作一个词“smartwatch”,而“traditional like mechanical one”中“like”使用多余,应去掉以保持流畅。
× Yes, as a kid I remember back in the days those uh, gigantic Buckley Castle watches are kinda cool and kids were crazy about them.
✓ Yes, as a kid I remember that back in the day those gigantic Buckley Castle watches were kind of cool and kids were crazy about them.
“back in the days”非标准表达,正确为“back in the day”。
× So I told my mom I went I want one and then I got 1 as a birthday gift.
✓ So I told my mom I wanted one, and then I got one as a birthday gift.
正确应把间接引语改为过去时“I told my mom I wanted one”,并用过去时“got”描述收到礼物。
× It was a white watch, super cool.
✓ It was a white watch — super cool.
× I mean it's more like a social token right? If you are wearing a Rolex people will immediately know you are rich.
✓ I mean it's more like a social token, right? If you are wearing a Rolex, people will immediately know you are rich.
前加逗号更自然;在条件句“If you are wearing a Rolex”与主句之间应加逗号以分隔从句。
× Another thing is I remember 1. I saw it somewhere that rich people buy their watches or jewelry with them and run away.
✓ Another thing I remember is that I saw somewhere that rich people buy watches or jewelry with them and run away.
I saw it somewhere”中“1”应为“one”但更合适改为连接结构“Another thing I remember is that...”。此外“buy their watches or jewelry with them and run away”中的代词指代不清,意思应为“用随身带的手表或珠宝来交易然后逃跑”还是“买了手表和珠宝然后带着跑掉”?根据语境应为“用手表或珠宝换钱然后逃跑”,建议改为“buy watches or jewelry with them and run away”仍不够清晰,更好改为“...that rich people sometimes use watches or jewelry as payment and then run away.”
× Like it's easier than carrying cash and you don't.
✓ Like it's easier than carrying cash, and you don't have to.
问题类型:6(现在时问题)/26(句子结构错误) 说明:原句末尾“and you don't”不完整,缺少谓语补足部分,应为“and you don't have to”表示“不必携带现金”。
× I don't think it's important to wear a watch anymore. At least for my generation, nobody really loves a watch anymore.
✓ I don't think it's important to wear a watch anymore. At least for my generation, nobody really loves watches anymore.
× If anybody wears a watch, it's mostly just for a better outfit or just to show off that they're able to buy a very expensive watch.
✓ If anybody wears a watch, it's mostly just for a better outfit or to show off that they're able to buy a very expensive watch.
代词“they're”用于单数不分性别的泛指是可以接受的,但为了更正式可以改为“they're”或“he or she is”。
