Band 7 Example

Question: How do people benefit from trying new things?

Idea 1

Mental health and Well-being
Model Answer
If we do the same things every day, we might start feeling bored. Trying new things adds variety to life. For example, if you join a dance class because a friend suggested it, you'll meet new people, maybe find something you're good at, learn something new, and have fun. All these things are great benefits, and we'll feel much happier for trying new things.
If we are stuck doing the same things every day then I think we would slowly go mad. Variety is the spice of life and if we attempt new things and do them in an open and positive way, then we get so much out of it. For example, if someone is convinced by their friend to join a dance class, they will meet new people, find something that they are possibly good at and learn something new, not to mention have some fun. These are all big advantages and we will feel much better for trying them.
