Who this person is
I'm going to talk about Jane Goodall, the world-famous primatologist. I think it is fascinating, and it's a relatively new branch of biology
How you know about him/her
The first time I came across her name was at secondary school in biology class. We watched one of her documentaries in class and I remember being absolutely fascinated by her research. Since then, I have seen other documentaries that she's featured in too.
What interesting things he/she has done
So, she's a primatologist, which basically means she studies monkeys and their behavior, but what she did which was so groundbreaking was learn how to communicate with them. She started teaching them sign language so she could communicate with them and it's the first time that humans and animals have actually 'spoken' to each other. She's also a big advocate for conservation and biodiversity.
And explain what you would like to know more about him/her
She's written a number of books so I'd like to read them as her research is one of a kind. I'd really like to know how she has managed to make connections with primates and how far her communication goes. As she does lots of conservation work too, I'd like to know more about that as it's something that's very close to my heart. If I can, I'd like to know how I can support her in the research she's carrying out in Africa as I think it's really important.
