Sharing a workspace
What it was
I'm going to talk about a time when I had to share my workspace with a colleague. It was a small office space that I had been using for a few months to work on a project.
Who you shared it with
I shared it with a new colleague who had just joined our team. She was assigned to work on a similar project, and due to limited space in the office, we were asked to share the workspace.
Why you had to share it with others
The reason for sharing the workspace was primarily due to the lack of available office space. Our company had recently expanded, and with the influx of new employees, there was a shortage of individual workstations. Additionally, since our projects were related, it made sense for us to collaborate and share ideas, which was easier to do when working in close proximity.
Explain how you felt about it
Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about sharing my workspace. I was used to having my own space and working independently, so the idea of sharing it with someone else was a bit daunting. However, as we started working together, I realized that it was actually a positive experience. My colleague was very friendly and easy to work with, and we ended up collaborating on several aspects of our projects. Sharing the workspace allowed us to exchange ideas more freely and support each other when needed. In the end, I felt that sharing the workspace not only helped me grow professionally but also allowed me to build a good working relationship with my colleague. It taught me the value of collaboration and the importance of being adaptable in a work environment.
