A surprising phone call
Where it happened
I'm going to talk about a time when I answered a phone call from a stranger while I was at a bustling train station. It happened about a year ago when I was waiting for my train to arrive at the central station in my city.
What he/she said
The call came from an unknown number, and when I answered, the person on the other end introduced himself as a representative from a charity organization. He explained that they were conducting a survey to gather opinions on various social issues and asked if I had a few minutes to participate.
How you responded
Initially, I was a bit hesitant because I was in a public place and it was quite noisy around me. However, I decided to go ahead and participate in the survey. I moved to a quieter corner of the station and listened carefully to his questions. I answered each question thoughtfully, providing my honest opinions on the topics he brought up. The entire conversation lasted about ten minutes.
Explain how you felt about it
At first, I felt a bit awkward and self-conscious about talking to a stranger on the phone in such a public setting. However, as the conversation progressed, I felt more comfortable and engaged. I was glad that I could contribute to the survey and share my views on important social issues. By the end of the call, I felt a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, knowing that my input might help the charity organization in their efforts to address these issues. It was an unexpected but rewarding experience.
