Speaking Part 2: A positive experience
In this task, you will be asked to describe a positive experience you had as a teenager. This could be related to a trip, a hobby, an event, an activity, a place, something about your school or studies, or even a meeting with a person. This is an easy task that allows for a lot of flexibility in your answer.
Here is a sample response describing my first visit to London, England's capital city, on a school trip when I was a teenager. I had never been to London before, and I had the opportunity to share this experience with my school friends.
The positive experience was not limited to just one particular place in London. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip, from the coach journey to the visits to various tourist attractions. When we arrived in London, we got off the coach near the Houses of Parliament, and one of my first memories was catching sight of the famous 'Big Ben' clock tower. Throughout the trip, we also visited the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and Trafalgar Square.
During this school trip, there were approximately thirty of us, including two teachers. Being surrounded by my close friends made the experience even more enjoyable.
What truly captivated me about London was the perfect blend of history and modernity. It felt like a vibrant, fashionable, and cosmopolitan city. Coming from a relatively small town, this experience sparked a strong desire within me to visit other capital cities in the future.
To further clarify and enhance your response, you could consider adding some examples and details. For instance, you can mention specific attractions or moments that stood out to you during the trip. Additionally, you might want to explain in more detail why the experience was positive for you. What specific aspects or qualities of London made it so memorable?
