Transform Your English: A Journey from Russia to Fluency
Introduction
Welcome to my channel! Today, I want to share a personal story about my English learning journey. I’ll show you a video from 2014, where you'll see a different Marina. My transformation in English proficiency and accent over the years might inspire you to realize that significant improvements are possible.
Background or Problem Statement
Context
Back in 2014, my husband and I were growing our company, initially called MP Reserve, now known as Linguatrip. We pitched our startup to everyone we could find in St. Petersburg, Russia. One day, we presented our company at a local university where American entrepreneur Bob Dorf was visiting. I eagerly raised my hand during the Q&A session to ask a question.
Problem
In 2014, my English accent and proficiency were quite different from what they are today. Practicing English was challenging due to the lack of native speakers around me. This video from 2014 will show you how much my accent and fluency have changed over the years.
