受験者
I believe that with something very important, I don't need to make a lot of effort in order to remember because they are already important, so I usually imprint them in my mind. But with something less important, I believe that I need to write them down on the note or into my calendar so it will be easier for me to keep track on what I'm trying to do.

The phrase 'a lot of' should be followed by a plural noun 'things' instead of the singular 'thing'.
