My hometown is in the southern part of Malaysia. It is near Singapore, a neighboring country of Malaysia and lots of tourists would come into my hometown every year to enjoy our well known durian.

Personally I would say no. As someone who likes to travel, I find it extremely inconvenient as it is far away from the nearest International Airport which requires at least three hours by cars.
