I'm not sure we can, to be honest. As we get older, we slow down, we lose muscle and things we used to do become harder and more strenuous. This means that older people just don't have the strength to do certain things, or if they do them, they get tired pretty quickly. Obviously, not being overweight and being active are key to keeping going as long as possible but it's part of the natural process of life as we age. It would be great if there were a cure or something we could take to give us more energy but, unfortunately, it doesn't exist.
