When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
(For example, On the other hand)并给出具体情境来支持观点。
Ejemplo: I need to read carefully when I'm studying or preparing for an exam because I must understand rules, deadlines, and important details. For example, when I read exam instructions or product specifications I pay close attention to avoid mistakes. In contrast, I skim novels for enjoyment and don't focus on every detail.
Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
建议:1) 使用更自然的短语,如“I prefer scanning”或“I prefer skimming”;2) 精简表达并用更地道的结构说明原因(e.g. because it saves time and gives an overview);3) 给出具体场景或对比说明何时会选择精读。
Ejemplo: I prefer skimming because it saves time and lets me get the main idea of many texts quickly. If I need specific information or must understand something deeply, however, I will read in detail.
× I like reading and I like reading story books because it talks about some funny stories.
✓ I like reading, and I like reading story books because they talk about funny stories.
“it talks”用于复数名词“story books”时不正确,应使用复数代词/动词“they talk”。
× And let me know about, umm, the imagination of the author.
✓ They let me know about the author's imagination.
原句缺乏明确主语,应把“They”作为主语或直接用“story books”并将“the imagination of the author”改为所有格“the author's imagination”。
× I prefer reading on paper because it is good for my eyes and I can make notes quickly which helps me remember things better.
✓ I prefer reading on paper because it is better for my eyes, and I can make notes quickly, which helps me remember things better.
将“it is good for my eyes”改为更自然的“it is better for my eyes”;在非限制性定语从句前加逗号;协调副词短语位置使句子更清晰。
× For example, I use usually read novel stories and although I sometimes read news on my phone when I'm traveling outside.
✓ For example, I usually read novels, although I sometimes read the news on my phone when I'm traveling.
把“use usually read”改为正确的副词位置“I usually read”;“novel stories”更自然为“novels”;“read news”前加定冠词“the news”;去掉冗余“outside”并改为“when I'm traveling”。
× I need to read carefully when I am study or take an exam and for example I was checked deadlines and the rules when I am doing the exam and the products.
✓ I need to read carefully when I am studying or taking an exam. For example, I check deadlines and rules when I am doing the exam and checking the requirements.
“I am study”应为现在进行“I am studying”;并列动词需保持-ing形式“studying or taking”;原句中“I was checked”时态错误且被动不当,改为主动现在时“I check”;“the products”语义不明,改为更合适的“checking the requirements”。
× On the other hand, I don't read very carefully when I'm just reading a novel or some story books.
✓ On the other hand, I don't read very carefully when I'm just reading a novel or some storybooks.
“some story books”可以合并为单词“storybooks”或使用复数“story books”;为了平行结构,把“a novel or some storybooks”调整为“a novel or some storybooks”或更自然地“两者并列时保持一致”,此处使用“storybooks”。
× I prefer scanning reading because it can let me use some a little time to read more things and just let me know more about the story.
✓ I prefer skimming because it allows me to use less time to read more and to learn more about the story.
“can let me use some a little time”语序和用词错误,改为“allows me to use less time”;“read more things”改为更自然的“read more”;“let me know”在这里不自然,改为“learn more”。
× And I don't want to read so much about the detail, just know about what the story talk about.
✓ And I don't want to read so much about the details; I just want to know what the story is about.
“the detail”应为复数“the details”;句子碎片“just know about what the story talk about”缺少主语和正确谓语,改为“I just want to know what the story is about”,修正主谓一致“story is about”。
