Band 7 Example
Question: What can teachers do to stop students from relying too much on AI?
Idea 1
Encourage Critical Thinking
Model Answer
Teachers can encourage students to think for themselves by asking them to explain their answers in their own words. If students just copy from AI, it’s easy to spot because they can’t explain it properly. Also, teachers can give open-ended questions that AI can’t answer directly, so students have to use their own ideas.
Idea 2
Promote Independent Research
Model Answer
Teachers can give students projects that need real-world research, like interviewing people or doing experiments. This way, students can’t just rely on AI for answers. They also should reward students for coming up with original ideas, so students feel motivated to think for themselves.
Idea 3
Set Clear Guidelines
Model Answer
Teachers should set clear rules about when students can use AI tools. They need to explain about plagiarism and why it’s important to do your own work. If students know the rules, they’ll be less likely to use AI in the wrong way.
Idea 4
Make Learning Engaging
Model Answer
Teachers can make learning more interesting by having group discussions or debates instead of just giving written assignments. They can also use hands-on activities that AI can’t do, so students have to participate and learn by doing.
